Loud. No respect for neighbors

If you love the sound of screaming children, then this is the place for you! Apartments are packed like sardines and these children will run through all neighbors yards and patios screaming as loud as possible. I even caught them all on my patio peering through my windows… trash people.

Missed this place. Had a problem moving in and my tub leaked a few times from the pipes. Other from that I wish I stayed more than 2 years. I'd love to go back if only they took dogs!!!! I'd be there in a heart beat!

I've lived here for over a year and I really love it. It's right near one of the main intersections in town and I can get anywhere in Omaha from my apartment in about 20 minutes. The staff is vey helpful and friendly and the maintenance guys ROCK. I've had a couple things break, as things do, and they've been there right away to fix it. I really like living here and I have no plans on moving in the near future. The rent is low but the quality is high. I only have a few complaints and while they are fairly minor, the staff does try to address them as much as they can. I can hear my neighbors through the walls like they're in my living room with me. I'm not sure if I just have deaf neighbors or the walls really are that thin. I've had a couple of late nights because I couldn't fall asleep with the neighbors music/tv blaring. Another problem is the parking. I've heard whining about it and people need to chill. Yes, sometimes there's not enough parking but that's usually because the jerks in the condos up the hill have their guests park there… See More>

I've lived at Whispering Pines since 2002 (10 years now) and it has been a nice home, very affordable, and in a perfect location from everything in Omaha. The management and maintenance are phenomenal. When I call for a clog, a leaky faucet, whatever the issue, I get a quick response and everyone is nice. I had some trash on my patio; the management politely asked me to clean it up. My neighbor reported me for being loud and management politely reminded me that I am not the only one who lives here and to please keep the noise down after 10p. I'm going on 11 years living here and I am one of several long-termers, many of which have lived here longer than me, so Whispering Pines staff must be doing something right. Kudos!

          Crazy lifestyle but,it was fun.

This apt was my first home from highschool and all I can say,I never had issues in my one bedroom just my insane neighbour who drank or wanted to drink with us lol.I had my first child grew up there and we moved to two bedroom it was on third floor.I moved bc,of my job.I did like it and I had no issues with anything really,I only had maintance one time come over but,I swear to you I have lucky apt,I guess. We had plenty of parking back in the days but I hear now is worse then ever. Nikki has been there forever so,you gotta talk to her mainly, she runs things but does not live there. THis is good place if your on budget but,for kids the townhomes are better. People stop bitching is apts what you expect the RITZ hotel.

Here's one from the other side of the fence.

I've worked here for 3 years as maintenance. This is the 5th property I've worked at, and I can say they are all the same, as are the reviews. If you rent an apartment, live there, get renter's insurance, and don't act like its your own house in the country. There is no injustice being done to you. You knew what you were getting in to when you signed your lease. The management is very professional here, and the tenants are to say the least, spoiled. The parking is the only legit complaint, and only applies for townhouse residents. There are large visitor parking areas. If you're not too fat to walk 100 feet to get to your door, this will not be a problem. For the guy who tore out his own carpet: do this anywhere else and you will get sued. The tree that fell on the car was removed the next day, and the tenant's vehicle was covered by their insurance. You did not have ten inches of rain in your basement, that never happens. The maintenance service at this property is phenomenal. Methodist… See More>

We've lived here six months and haven't had any major problems except for the fact that its a dump. The apartment we moved into looked really nice until we realized that the "new" carpet was so cheap that it looked 20 years old after we lived there six months. The paint on the walls, or should I saw the paint on the dust, was horrible. The painters didn't think to dust anything in the house before painting, so there is dust covered paint everywhere! Additionally the paint is so cheap that when you wash it with a wash cloth it comes off. The basement walls are waterstained and all the paint is peeling away. Utilies are ridiculous b/c of the lack of insulation in the walls. Our sliding glass door is awesome--as long as you apply WD40 on a weekly basis. On the bright side you don't have to buy cable because you can hear the neighbors just fine for three. Also the drug dealer neighbor moved out so traffic isn't as bad is it was. On a serious note, maintance is ok...if your answer to everything is caulk. They say one and a half baths but its really two… See More>

                avoid like the plague

When I first moved in to Whispering pines, 6 months ago, I thought it was a really nice place for a pretty cheap price. how wrong I was. The management is completely careless and they move very slow on maintenance. In addition, they dont tell you when you sign the lease to get MUD in your name, and in the beginning they just bill you what MUD bills them. well, all of a sudden, 6 months into my lease I get a letter telling me I have 14 days to get it in my name or I'm evicted. NICE. In addition, management does not return calls, as I called a month ago with a question, and was told I would get a call back. Here I am, a month later, and no call back... from the office manager, Nikki, who is the one I spoke with. Bottom line, we were planning on renewing the lease for another year in september, but we will be leaving as quickly as possible.

                  No problems.

We lived here when the community first opened in 1968. Then, again in 1977. I don't remember having to sidestep vomit in order to get to the car. That sounds horrible. You should move. Apparently it is full of college students. What college? ITT Tech? What did you have to do to get in, open the door? Loser.

                    Good for what it was-cheap

As a college student, this place was "good enough." Parking didn't suck where we were, but we were lucky. The other 90% of the complex would have sucked for parking. Management was pretty good, namely Jenny. The pool is really... meh.. not good at all. Buildings are old, we had to replace the dishwasher and stove... our ceiling leaked really bad after the toilet flooded... AC went out. Most of these things (besides the now deformed ceiling) were fixed in a timely manner... but the ceiling has yet to be fixed after 4 months. Walls seem to be pretty thin even though they seem to be thick... I can hear my neighbors almost everynight partying.

                      AVOID THE ------ MANAGER

FIRST OF ALL I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT NONE OF THE NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE ARE POINTED TOWARDS -----, SHES GREAT: weve lived here a year and it's horrible...the only justification is the cheaper rent and you dont pay for heat...other than that it sucks, ----- is the best thing that ever happened to this place...----- is the worst manager ever and is why were moving out this month, the maintenance is adequate at best, ----- should be working at alot nicer of a place such as wyndham hill where were moving to!...parking pretty much sucks too, we moved out just im time as 11 -------- moved in the same day we moved out, STAY AWAY!!!

Cheap rent, Cheap appliances, Cheap pool, Cheap layout, CHEAP...

I'm a college student and live with 2 other college students. The parking sucks. The pool pretty much sucks. Our dishwasher and stove are old. Our neighbors are loud. But the rent is cheap and we've got all we need. Maintenance is generally pretty good. If you're not too high maintenance, its not all that bad.

                          Whispering ------

This apartment is definitely worth the money. If you spent all of your money on booze for tonights party and have just enough left for rent. The only good thing about the apartment I lived in was that the building had locked outer doors. I lived for the first couple of months in my apartment with the ceiling above my shower soaking wet and dripping. The maintaince man ( who looks homeless ) came and cut a 3 foot hole in my ceiling, then must have forgot that he did it. The hole was there for 6 months and the pipes still dripped. You would walk out of the building and have to dodge puke on the steps from the partying that went on the night before.
Please look somewhere else!!!!

                            **Don´t bother**

The parking sucks!! It took them 6 months to figure out what they wanted to do with the parking (they went back and forth on ideas). When they finally decided, it wasn´t any different then the way it was originally!!

The pool is bad... paint chipped off everywhere.

The other tenants suck as well. People that look down on you, even though they have NO REASON to!!

The mang is the one good thing and they generally are quick on fixing things. Even though they never fixed our AC and than our bill sky-rocketed.

Would not recommend now!

I lived at Westbourgh Arms for 4 years. I just moved a month ago from there. This was a nice complex with a nice manager and two great maintenance men. Then NP Dodge came in and went and turned Westbourgh Arms into a dump. You have this little midget for a manager who doesn´t like anyone and who feels she is to good to be working at a property like that one. And after NP Dodge came in they brought new maintenance men in a couple of different ones who are criminals and don´t know how to take a shower. It´s really to bad what happend to Westbourgh Arms because now it is a commercialized complex where they only know there tenants by number and not by name. BRING THE OTHER GUYS BACK!!!!

                                  Good option for $$

I lived in a two bedroom townhouse, and for the price ($695), it was a pretty good deal. It had 1500 sq ft, a half finished basement, and one and one half baths. They are older, and aren´t as "modern" as some of the new apts going up out west, but the location is great (90th & Dodge). I did have one problem w/mgmt, and that happened when we had ten inches of rain, and it flooded the basement. They originally wanted to keep the carpet that was in the apt, and attempted to "dry it out". After three days of horrific smells and little info from mgmt, I tore all the carpet up, rolled it out onto the patio, and called mgmt and told them that new carpet needed to be installed right away. New carpet was put in the next day. The pool isn´t great--I never used it, but really, for the money, its a pretty good deal.
