I have been a resident at Shadow Lake Square Apartments for almost one year and recently renewed my lease for another year. My experience has been fantastic which is why I am really shocked with some of the reviews and comments listed on here. The staff at Shadow Lake Square Apartments is phenomenal. Laura became the property manager shortly after I moved in so I don't have much experience with how the previous property manager did things. What I can say is immediately after Laura became the property manager, she was able to get something taken care of that was considered "impossible" to do by previous management staff. Alicia was the assistant manager through summer and Corissa took over for her a couple of months ago. Everyone in the leasing office has treated me and my concerns with respect. If you treat them with respect, you will get it in return. If I have an issue, the issue is addressed almost immediately. Maintenance work is top-notch! Andrew does awesome work and is very friendly. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. I live on the first floor so I have upstairs neighbors. Do I hear them occasionally? Of course! Do I hear the washing machine from upstairs every once in a while? Of course! Is it a nightmare that makes me want to move out? No, I just signed another one-year lease! This is apartment living. You always take a gamble when you rent an apartment. You might have quiet neighbors or you might have heavy-footed upstairs neighbors. It doesn't matter where you rent an apartment from, it's the gamble you take with apartment life. If you can't accept the occasional noise that comes with an apartment, then you should buy or rent a house. I would rather hear the washing machine at 6pm at night instead of having to go the laundromat or in the basement to do my laundry. You need to take the good with the bad in life, especially when it comes to apartment living. Do yourself a favor and take a tour, preferably during the summer months so you can take a walk around the lake afterwards.
