I just got back into the building after the fire alarm went off. I sat in my car for 30 minutes before the fire department showed up. 30 minutes, had there been an actual fire there would be nothing left of the 30 units in this building, or anyone who may have been trapped inside. We had the fire alarm go off about 6 weeks ago, and after 15 minutes my husband called the fire department, and they had no idea the alarm was going off. The alarm in this building isn't connected any way to the actual fire department. The alarm is loud enough to let you know to get out, but not set up to let the fire department know. hhhmmmmm. honestly how is this safe?? Sure their insurance may cover to repair damages to the building in the event of a real fire, but what about the people "renting" the units? I am not talking about replacing items lost, what about lives that could be lost?

Lets get to parking..........there isn't enough. The so called visitors parking is used mostly by the residents of the condo's nearby. Residents aren't given any kind of visitor pass to hang from a rear view mirror or anything, so there is no way to know if they are guests of Devonshire or not. The lot is packed most nights, I have had to park up on the hill on the main road and then walk in the dark home. There are no lines for cars to park within, so most people take up more than a normal car should.

Maintance- there is none. We moved in and were told to go walk the apartment and make a list, we did. Went back to the office, and gave the list to the property manager she told us that everything would be taken care of the next day (friday) we moved in on saturday to find NONE of it even touched. I went to the local hardware store and got the few things i needed, and did it all myself.

Snow removal- there is none. They will plow the next business day after a storm. Therefor if it snows on Friday, nothing will be cleaned up until the following monday.

We live near the entrance, and it sounds like elephants going in and out, 24 hours a day!!!!!

There is so much more I want to say, but still live here until my lease is up, and I don't want to suffer any reprucutions from the management staff. When I do move I will be more than happy to tell everything.

If you have children, or are looking for a safe place to live, don't move here!!!
