The Canterbury experience must be different based on each building unit. Judging by the common thugs who hang out in the parking lot every night, I can only assume that Canterbury has designated Section 8 units. The previous reviewer is correct about unsupervised children at all hours. There are several parking lot gangs who gather their cars in a group, sync their stereos to the same channel and drink and use drugs openly and leave empty bottles for the kids to smash on the pavement. There are only 2 public grilles for tenants to use, but those have apparently become the "property" of the residents who live the closest. There are a lot of inconsiderate residents who just don't care... about anything... Rules don't apply to them, trash is thrown about, and they have no common neighborly courtesy. That said, this IS a community development and there will always be good neighbors and bad neighbors. The pool seemed clean. Maintenance responds in a timely manner. They are currently doing summer repairs and renovations. My packages are held at the office until I can retrieve them. We have never seen bed bugs or roaches in our building, but management informed us when we signed our lease that it does happen and they respond very quickly when notified of an infestation. The rooms are decent sized. There is NO storage accommodations. Heat / hot water are included for free. Would I recommend Canterbury? Only if a community complex is your only resort.
