Meadowbrook Village was wonderful. Hands down. Simply wonderful. I'm not going to pull your leg and tell you the apartments are huge or it's always absolutely quiet but I can tell you with all honesty that the apartments are more than comfortable and the neighborhood is mostly quiet, working-type people. There is soundproofing between floors so most noise is muted. The appliances are a bit dated but if there are any problems, maintainance is there in a jiffy. The grounds are kept beautiful, both warm and cold seasons. High speed cable internet and DSL are available - though the cable cloud is HUGELY oversold and speeds dip to almost nothing when everyone gets home from work. Parking is a bit tight; be sure you get into the lot before the evening otherwise you might not find a convenient space. Overall - I loved the year I lived at Meadowbrook. Hodges Company does a tremendous job.
