If you are considering this complex, don't walk, run away now. They utilize bullying tactics to steal money from new tenants. My mother given a move in date of the 15th of the month. She tried several times to pick up the keys to her new apartment and was given excuses each time that they needed a few more days. When she was finally able to move in on the first of the next month she reached out to the office to confirm that they would notify the payment service of my credit. She was told no one there can do more than take a message. So I called personally and asked how to get this resolved, I was told you have to leave a message for management because they *only* come in after office hours. So there is *never* a way to get anyone with any authority on the phone. I sent letters via fax and email. Every few days I would send a new one requesting some sort of response. I finally gave up and sent a letter notifying them that she'd just take the credit, and I assumed that would be acceptable because legally they have no right the rent for those 15 days. One month goes by and she mails in the next rent payment. Management (who still never had the courtesy to call or respond to any of the emails or faxes) apparently instructed the office staff to apply a late fee and to send her a threatening letter stating they would evict her unless she paid the balance and her late fee. So this complex expects her to pay them for 15 days of rent for an apartment that they were still doing work to and denied her access for!!! I have never heard of such a preposterous concept. Worse is the fact that instead of speaking to her they threaten an elderly lady with eviction before she's even had time to unpack. Truly despicable behavior and I wonder how many elderly people they've scared into letting them keep the money.
