More cons then pros in my opinion living here. PRO: 1BR unit facing Prospect Ave = $1,025 per month with 1 reserved parking spot. CONS: Ambulance sirens can get annoying. Leave the windows open and you hear a lot of vehicle traffic. Carpet is run down. Walls are thin: you can hear what your neighbor is listening to or watching on TV. Doors slam like thunder if you don't carefully close it. Pipes make clanky noises which led to downstairs neigbor to complain of loud noise. Police knocked on my door on 6 different occasions in the past 3 months when I am just sitting on my couch watching TV. UNBELIEVABLE! Now management wants me to move out at the end of the lease. If you're on a budget and don't mind the loud noise from neighbors' doors slamming and toilet seats dropping then this might be for you. I'm glad to be getting out of this [email protected]#*#$*. By the way, the main elevator in the 240 building gets stuck about once a week so carry a cell phone whenever you use the elevator. You may need to call 911 for the Fire Dept to get you out. My friend was stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes during a heatwave about a month ago.
