Mansfield Village Apartments
Resident • 2012 - 2013 Not Recommended
I really can't wait to move. I currently rent an older apartment, not a renovated one. Granted, $720.00 a month is a pretty good deal considering New Jersey is one of the most expensive places to live. But...it's just not worth it. If you are fine with passing a cop every other day that patrols the complex, then I guess it's not a big deal. If you are driving at 3:00 AM and pass a cop, be prepared because he or she will probably pull you over. The safety here is pretty nonexistent. Late at night, I went to use the bathroom and heard outside my window, "HELP, SOMEBODY HELP ME." I proceeded to call 911 and when I looked outside, there were ten cops patrolling the area. Pretty scary, right? If you have an apartment near the road, be prepared to hear a bunch of kids outside yelling and screaming. (Yes, I know kids play. That's fine. It gets pretty annoying, though.) I have a huge problem with mold in my apartment and I can visibly see the ceiling is caving in. Yep, you heard it. My ceiling has different heights. The people that work in the rental office are fake nice. They promote how cats and dogs aren't allowed, yet the entire complex is filled with them. You can't get good lighting in your apartment, and there are limited windows. It kind of feels like you're in a box. For the price, you get what you get. I wouldn't suggest the older apartments, go for the renovated ones if you'd want to move here. But, just remember, you have to pay for your heat and hot water, which means you can probably find a much better apartment for the same price. I wouldn't recommend living here or raising a family unless you're a poor college kid that needs a place to live. Avoid, if possible. Please trust me.
