I vacated my apartment at the Highlands in mid December 2015. It is now the end of June of 2016, and I have yet to receive my deposit. I gave them my forwarding address in writing multiple times, yet they have never given me any form of accounting for my deposit. The personnel with whom I spoke (on those rare occasions when I could get someone to answer the phone) agreed that the apartment was left in good condition. In fact, I did not even hang a picture on the wall during my 18 months in residence. These people seem to feel that the law about returning a security deposit does not apply to them.
