AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have lived in this complex for almost 2 years and chose it because of it's pet friendly policy, location and affordability. When I first moved here, ---- the manager and Ramses the super made sure this place ran smoothly. Since the new management company took over, this place has gone down and is horrible. They cannot keep anyone in the office (which seems to open when the employees feel like dragging themselves in). One of the managers was a thief and stealing from apartments. When the tenants were eventually informed about this unthinkable breach of security, we were offered 25 dollar gift cards to ease our fears. ---- the manager was a ------------ who screwed up my lease renewal paperwork and ----- is there only to show apartments and appears stoned out of her mind most of the time. Maintenance requests require a healthy dose of patience as the current super and his crew are slow and incompetent. The landscaping is unkempt and non existent. the sidewalks in front of the building are dirty. The moldy stench in the lobby is unbearable, because the furniture and carpet that was damaged during Hurricane Sandy has been dried out and put back in the lobby. My mailbox is still filthy and caked in sewage from the hurricane. The elevators were out of order since Hurricane Sandy. The tenants had to get together and form an association, hire a lawyer and threaten to sue before the elevators finally started working recently. The hallways and hallway carpets are filthy and need to be replaced. They always smell of burnt food and the walls need to be painted ASAP. The workout room is outdated and small. The media room is worse as the television is never working and the furniture looks like it came from a 70's sitcom. The building is made of very flimsy construction. The apartments are cold and outdated.(they are updating some of the things in the apartments that new tenants are renting, but nothing is being done for the older tenants) Nothing ever works. I have long since given up on the appliances in my apartment and I came home recently to find my dog chasing some huge bugs in the hallway. I can hear everything my neighbors are doing. So many of the tenants that were here when I moved in have sinced moved out. I cannot wait for my lease to be up so that I can leave this hell hole as well. Anyone who would even consider renting here needs their head examined.
