My husband and I moved into a 1 bedroom apt in August. WE ARE NOT HAPPY. The only reason we haven't left yet is because we're broke. Once we save up enough, we're gone. Hopefully by then our health won't have deteriorated too much from all the MOLD. Good: -Pets allowed -No extra rent required per pet -Big bedroom -Decent unit layout Bad: - Prior to offically moving in, I did a "walkthrough," making note of everything that was wrong. There were holes in the wall, bugs galour and the windows needed working on. I made a list and showed it to Debbie. Copies were made. She told me the exterminator was coming the next day, the holes would be fixed and that the problem with the windows had been noted but that there was nothig that could be done about them. We finally moved in. MOST (the big ones) of the holes were fixed. The bug problem remained. Luckily our three ferrets have a taste for ants. Sneakers on hand takes care of the spiders. - MOLD. Because of the leaky and drafty windows, fighting mold is a constant battle. Because of the shotty worksmanship of the piping and dry-walling in the bathroom, water and moisture get into cracks and holes, thereby creating the perfect environment for mold to grow. The ventilation system/central air is all kinds of F#@ed up, and I believe plays a role in spreading mold spores thorughtout the apartment. We've all developed a weezing cough, ferrets included.... I would attribute that to the mold as well. -Coin opperated laundry machines don't always function properly. $1.75 per wash. $1.50 per dry. Extra quaters for extra drying time. There is no change machine on premises.
