My wife and I moved here this summer, and couldn't be happier with the place overall. For starters, the buildings and grounds are extremely well kept, aesthetically pleasing, and they're constantly improving. Almost weekly it seems, updates are being done on the buildings or grounds that improve the functionality and appearance of the community...updates that clearly cost significant money. The management is not afraid to invest in keeping this community extremely maintained. The units themselves are charming, with high ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, updated, stylish kitchens with brand new appliances, beautiful big windows, etc. Washer and drier are in each unit. The fire escape is wood, with nice railings and enough space to double as a balcony, store plants, etc. The bathrooms may be a bit narrow, but they're clean, bright, airy and nicely put together. Overall, with a spacious, manicured courtyard, green awnings, and beautiful entrances complete with heavy cast iron doors and marble entryways, the building has the stylish, upscale vibe of a 1920's era Manhattan hotel (it is in fact 1920's construction). The location is superb, nestled right where the beautiful historic homes of Summit end and the quaint downtown begins. Just a few short steps from dozens of restaurants, the movie theater, barbershops, boutiques, liquor stores, and more. Luis, the resident manager, is extremely kind and accomodating. Maintenance requests have been handled promptly and with care. Every neighbor we've met so far has been friendly and kind, yet we enjoy complete privacy when we need it. All that, for a price that is quite significantly lower than what you'd expect to pay for such a place, especially in a posh area like Summit. We have two large cats, and no extra deposit or additional monthly rent was required. Everything we needed in a place, and somewhere we will gladly live in until we buy a home. Highly recommended!
