I lived in Jamestown apartments for 6 years. The issues and overall bad experiences consistently persisted almost immediately. First, the absentee association and or management raises your rent every year. The units are in disrepair and are poorly and barely maintained. For example, my windows leaked when it rained causing the walls and windows to rot. The floors were split and cracking , which your advised to cover with rugs, of course to cover them up . The maintenance staff broke personal items of mine, left whatever mess was caused by their work, and would sometimes not fix something for weeks. The largest issue that everyone needs to know is the pest control issue. I had cockroaches, centipedes, termites, and ants for the entire duration of my stay. They constantly lose their pest control providers for long periods of time leaving you infested. I regret ever signing my first lease there and they are the definition of slumlords. Also, they keep your security and have the audacity to charge you for the pre existing issues and repairs so take photos of everything and consult a lawyer.
