The Village At Voorhees

Welcome to SECTION 8 HEAVEN! All I can say is save your hard earned money and look elsewhere. I have lived here for almost 4 years and can not wait until my lease ends in a few months. There are so many issues to touch on but I feel they have all been covered in previous posts. What hasen't been mentioned is the new manager. Seems that this place has taken a serious turn for the worse since she came on board(which I didn't think was possible.) I no longer feel like I live in Voorhees NJ, but rather North Camden, NJ. The staff felt it was a good idea to just move all the dumpsters in the development without ever giving notice. NOTE TO OFFICE STAFF: THE DUMPSTERS AND REPAVING THE PARKING LOTS SHOULD BE THE LEAST OF YOUR PROBLEMS! Instead of residents locating the new dumpsters, they CONTINUE to leave trash and bags where the old ones use to be...but that's what happens when you allow filthy tennants to occupy your apartments. The gounds and parking lot by the 3000 building are covered with trash and squirrels and birds ripping through spreading trash everywhere. New tennants moving in are moving in two bed apartments in groups of 6 or more, and I live in a one bedroom with 3 people in a one bedroom above me WITH two dogs who bark 14 hours out of the day! Bedsheets are being hung as curtains, blinds are missing or broken, beer bottles and cigarettes are all over patios. A new issue is the tennants who occupy the pool. I have never had an issue the past three summers until I went to the pool this past Sunday and couldn't believe my eyes. A grown woman went in the pool in a white t-shirt and boxer shorts, and she's not the first one I've seen. When she got out, her breasts were fully exposed through the wet shirt. Another group sat in the pool in clothes shouting and screaming cursing up a storm with no respect for the kids there. Do you want to live with neighbors like this? THIS IS NOT OK, and it's actually sad to have to even ask office staff to post a notice "must wear proper swimwear to occupy pool area." The Village will lure you in with a "special rate" but your rent WILL get raised significantly every year. I haven't minded the rent increase until now, as I refuse to live surrounded by slobs for over a thousand dollars a month! They may be repaving parking lots and fixing siding & roofs...but it's a perfect example, "DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!"
