Resident · 2010 - 2013
I moved in at Avalon WLB in 2010 when they first opened. Each year the rent increased which obviously rent will increase, but over a 3 year period the increases became too high. My rent increased almost $1000 over a 3 year period. Furthermore, since they have to accept section 8 and low income housing; the community has gone down hill as far as the tenants in the community. Not trying to discriminate but many cars sit for weeks or months with flat tires, tenants with pets don't clean up and take pets off leash, and the noise in my building upstairs was frustrating. Now they are starting a parking sticker policy which is added to your monthly rent. I will be moving out once my lease ends.
