Thin walls (you can hear neighbors in the next apartment showering, bathing, using the bathroom). No privacy here. You will feel as though you are sharing a house with strangers. Hardwood Floors are nice except for the fact that you can hear everything from the person above you to the person below you (including loud talking, televisions, and music). Common/Hall area is often dirty as they only vacuum once a year. Odors from smokers and cooked food linger. If you have a first or second floor apartment, you will consistently deal with having to hear every foot step above you. If you are lucky like me, you will have an upstairs neighbor who allows their child and their children's friends to jump, run and use the apartment as a playground day and night. Parking is a nightmare. While every apartment is allotted one parking space it is not enforced. Therefore when you have a neighbor with 3-4 cars you will end up with a lengthy walk being that you are unable to park anywhere near the building you reside in. It is a consistent problem especially with those who have a handicap or for people with small children. Several inspections of your apartment are mandated throughout the year. You are usually informed about inspections but not always. If you are not home during inspections, they will enter and proceed. Rent is raised every year and enforced before your lease is actually up. Management is not helpful once they have your deposit (note that not one member of the staff has ever resided in Justin Commons as they know it's a nightmare). Problems? Don't call management. It's pointless. Managers don't enforce anything nor do they help to resolve complaints, refuse to return phone calls, etc. Buildings look beautiful from the outside and nice on the inside. Don't be fooled. The police are a constant fixture here.
