The office staff are very sincere and helpful. They do seem concerned about the quality of tenants in the apartment community, but unfortunately, the overall atmosphere is very run-down and poor. I have lived here for one year and have been woken up on several occasions by emergency vehicles coming in one after another, usually responding to the back portion of the apartment complex. The buildings near the front of the complex are visibly nicer and more attractive compared to the buildings located near the back. It seems quieter up front, whereas in the back area, there are people up at all hours of the night, stray cats roaming around, loud music, suspicious behavior that makes me think there is something illegal going on, and just an overall feeling of unsafety. As for the apartments themselves, I will say that maintenance calls are handled very promptly. The new windows installed this past year complex-wide made a tremendous difference, both in terms of the attractiveness of the apartments and my feelings of safety. I live in a studio and have plenty of storage/closet space. The bathrooms could really use some updating. The sink area is very "blah" and old-fashioned. I do not have an electrical outlet in my bathroom or even in the hallway right outside the bathroom, which makes absolutely no sense. The carpet is old and feels like it has a dirty film on it despite having the office clean it twice. No central A/C, so it's annoying to have a wall unit (which is built-in) running loudly all the time in the summer months. If I could do things over, I would put out a little extra money each month to live in an area that felt safer, cleaner, and had basic conveniences (dishwashers, washer/dryer in unit, central air).
