Resident 2006 - 2013

5/9/2013

I LOVE IT HERE!!! I've honestly never done a review for any place that I've lived, but having seen some of the comments here, I feel like it's my duty as a long-time resident to set the record straight on some of the posts I just read. First and foremost, I have lived here for nearly 7 years and have NEVER been offered $$ from management to write a positive review. I talk to the Casa Tierra staff on a frequent basis and the subject has never come up. That considered, along with everything else I know about this place, it would be quite difficult to convince me that that offer was ever made to anyone. And speaking of management, I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Now, the manager we had when I first moved in, that's an entirely different story. I still have copies of complaints I have from way back then so believe me, I have no problem complaining when it is justified. But Brittany and Claire have been nothing but professional, friendly, and approachable since their arrival and I am sincerely appreciative of that, especially considering some of the goofy stuff I went through with the prior manager (who wasn't horrible, but not great either). My maintenance requests are always addressed swiftly now, and I feel 100% comfortable going to the office for any issues I might have. I also saw some complaints about the pricing and I get that - times are tough. But I searched around quite a bit before I landed here and this place was pretty competitive in comparison to places of the same size with the same amenities. In fact, this apartment is much bigger than those I have lived in in the past for roughly the same price. You get what you pay for, and we've had quite a few upgrades since I first moved in. I recommend this place all the time! Also to note, I take public transportation just about everywhere, and this place is great for that as it is only a short walk away from 3 regular bus routes and 1 commuter route. That has been quite helpful. I did look for other places to live in order to be closer to my job but thankfully, my job is actually moving down this way! Honestly, I'm relieved because I hadn't even come close to finding anything that had all the perks I have here. So anyway, that's my two cents. Sorry this post is so long, but they really do work hard here to accommodate us and they deserve an honest review. Like I said, I've been here for nearly 7 years, and my neighbor has been here for 15, I believe. We're both picky and particularly harsh about bad service, so that should tell you something. Come check it out for yourself if you haven't.
