Very Nice for the Price
I am a current tenant here at Eagle Point. Normally, I don't do reviews but I see that they have a low overall rating and I think it is unfair. First off, this complex is in walking distance from the CNM Montoya campus and the general rent here is between $490 for a studio to about $740 for a two bedroom. So, who do you think lives here. Hello, college students. So if you think there isn't going to be a party somewhere on this complex on any given evening, you are nuts. I will say this place is built like a brick house. I rarely can hear the people around me and I am on the bottom floor near the pool. There are parties around frequently and on two occasions in the year I have lived here it has gotten loud. But if you go out and ask them nicely to tone it down, the kids will. I am not a college student and I have a regular work schedule. I am living here for a while to pay off debt. My utilities are nothing as this place so well built. My apartment is clean, the carpet looks new and still has new carpet smell after a year. The appliances are a little older but work fine. I have no problems with the management staff. You ask them for something and they help you immediately. Maintenance is spot on. I have had two maintence calls in the year that I have been here. Both were handled immediately. None of them had to do with faulty appliances or bugs. I had one call to give me a new air filter and one call to install the new microwave that they gave me when I renewed my lease. That is another thing I liked. When I was given the option to renew my lease, they gave me the option to add to my apartment with a list of nice upgrades. I chose the microwave. My rent only increase $6.00. The grounds are great. The landscaping is beautiful and green. The pool is always clean and so is the hot tub. I lived in a supposedly "fancier" place on Academy that doesn't even hold a candle to how much better managed this complex is. The location is walking distance from the oso grande park and some really nice trails. You can also walk to Dion's from here. You can walk to Starbucks. I mean for what I pay to live here. Awesome. I really like this management company. I like how they do business. They have been very gracious. I will say, if you want to live in a place where you can hear a pin drop, don't live here. This is a lively place. There are a lot of young people here. They enjoy themselves, but I don't feel they are unkind to their neighbors. But you need to be realistic when you pick this place to live. The kids party here. They're kids. What do you expect? I do believe you get really good value for what you pay. The only reason I would leave is to get into an apartement with a washer and dryer in the apartment. Their facilities are nice, new and inexpensive for washing and drying your clothes, but I am kind of spoiled for my own washer and dryer.Share This Review
