Resident 2013 - 2017

8/19/2017

I left this apartment. I finally got my deposit back after a long hard battle. Had to contact Conam's corporate office to get it. I'll start off with the person named "Lily" posting on behalf of 4200 Paradise Apartments. In the many years Iived there, no name "Lily" has worked there and I've never seen anyone even closely resembling the person in the picture. Who knows. The office personal and management has changed so many times, it's hard to keep track. I'm guessing it's that homeless looking scroungy looking manager who tried to cheat me out of my deposit who's posting stupid replies. Maybe you should be doing something to improve the quality of the complex instead of surfing the net! The quality of this property had really gone downhill, especially in the past few months. I've noticed a lot of low quality people have moved in here. It looks a like HUD section 8 housing development. That's why I left. Maybe they are taking section 8 applicants. I have no idea. I noticed "Fake --- Lily" posted a comment on a bad review that they no longer charge for applications and credit checks starting about 6 months ago. The timeline coincides with the flood of low quality people moving in. There's no such thing as a coincidence. I'm guessing they lowered the financial standards as well and anybody with two bucks in their pocket and is on welfare is an approved applicant This also explains the up rise in crime as well. I noticed another reviewer posted a crime map and a link to it on here which confirms this fact. You can't argue with factual crime stats and actual crime reports from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. This is a very noisy complex. I'm a casino worker. I work late nights and rotating shifts. I need to be able to sleep at any hour of the day I can. The complex is not really friendly to the casino worker. I do not recommend anyone like me working rotating or night move in here. The airplanes flying low over head can be annoying at times. I've had some really bad noisy neighbors. Loud rap music, loud parties, etc, etc, etc. The apartments around me seem to be overturned every couple months and then I have to listen to the construction crews hammering, sawing and drilling 8 hours a day for week, then another noisy neighbor moves in. It's a never ending cycle. Almost every day the carpet cleaning guys are parked outside my bedroom window in the early am with their shampooer motor blaring. The dirt blower guys are real annoying too. Why does anybody hire the guys? All they do is transfer dirt from one place to another. The hotel on the other side of the parking lot unloads food supply semis between 5am and 7am every morning. I'm awakened by the loud vibrating crashing of pallets. If you bring this to the attention of management, they say some lame ---- like, it's normal apartment noise. There's nothing we can do about it. Nothing we can do about it seems to be 4200 Paradise Apartments policy on just about everything. The shower water really sucks. The water temperature is inconsistent and burns the ---- out your skin at times. I've been hearing for years their going to fix it, but that has happened yet. Probably never will. The plumbing is simply too old and the owners of the building most likely want to spring for new pipes. The piped also vibrate and make a high pitched squeal at times. The dishwasher is old, useless, brown and moldy. I asked to have it replaced, but maintenance inspected it. The simply turned it on and heard it fill up with water and said it works. It never got the dishes clean. Not a big deal. I can hand wash, but I was paying rent for an apartment with a working dishwasher. The sink a bit too small. The water pressure was too low. I would have to take off the filter to get enough pressure to wash my dishes. Again, where back to the crappy old water plumbing. The kitchen is small. The closet space in it, is minimal. Not ideal for someone who likes to cook. There's no real food cupboard. I had to turn the dining area closet into a food storage/pot's and pans closet. Overall the closet space is minimal.
