My husband and I have lived her for two years and they have been some of the worst two years of my life when we started here at Riverwood we were hopeful that some of the had reviews we had read were just exaggerations by angry residents but sadly that's not the case when we moved in we decided that we could live without the sana they advertised and we understood that some neighbors weren't going to great but most of the people here seemed nice so we signed on the dotted line. The fire alarms go off so offten that residence don't leave there apartments especially at night because that's when the drug dealers are out and don't bother to call security they don't come and Reno police stopped responding because they get called all time. The laundry room is a waste of time you might as well go to the Laundromat down the street its much cheeper.be careful with you car ours has been broken into 4 times and the only thing security does go out and look for cars that don't have there parking pass in the window even if the pass is right on the dashboard they will put a tow sticker on your car. They have found the stupidest reasons to put tow stickers on cars and security only puts then on certain cars not the cars that have sat there for months without moving but the ones that are clearly used and legal. This place may be cheep but that's because no one would pay anything more then what they are already. We can't wait to move out.

    Hello Anonymous, We first wanted to thank you for taking the time to us a review. We wanted to tackle one issue at a time to inform you and our readers of the facility changes we made and the duties our courtesy patrol officers actually do after hours. Riverwood did have a working sauna, but we renovated a better and bigger clubhouse for the residents just last year. Now residents have a new internet free business center and gym that is located inside the clubhouse. The old building of where the sauna was located in is closed. The entire building is uninhabitable at this time because there is no electricity, water or gas in the building, therefore we cannot allow any resident to enter it. We are looking to renovate the entire building in the near future. Our courtesy patrol officers that are on duty after hours are to help prevent crime with their presence and are there to help to respond to residents complaints. We have our courtesy patrol officers walk building to building and floor to floor. We have check points on every floor so we can verify the time and date they scan it. We just added this feature last year as a way to confirm our courtesy patrol officers are always walking the property. You may not know they are there because they are dressed in plain clothes and not uniforms because they are not security guards. They are there to call the police if they witness a theft taking place or a violent crime while they are on property and help in emergency situations. We have established relationships with Reno Police Department so they will respond very quickly if one of our officers were to call. Our courtesy patrol officers do not monitor parking issues. The residents have the right to tow vehicles parked in their designated areas at any of our locations with Milne Towing at any time. We created this service with Milne Towing as another way to empower the resident rights to their parking space and not have to wait for our authorization to do so. Milne Towing also will make rounds at night to either warn or tow inoperable vehicles, unregistered vehicles, and unauthorized vehicles depending on the infraction. We have made many improvements to Riverwood safety in the last two years and will continue to do so. We hope you understand we try to control the environment as much as possible, but please understand we can only control so much.
