Resident 2017

12/13/2017

Before moving to Adam's Park, it would be beneficial to investigate other apartments in the Albany area. There are many newer apartment complexes with far better amenities and rental rates. Importantly, my family did not feel safe at Adam's Park. There is a reason you will not find children playing outside: drug deals are a very common site on Weis Road. Also, several of the apartments seem to harbor very "shady" night-time activities and seeing police raids at night is not an uncommon sight at Adam's Park. It is unfortunate that despite many complaints, the staff at Adam's Park seemed powerless (or just didn't care) to do anything about this activity. Regarding the apartment itself, on the surface the apartments seem nice with roomy, spacious basements. The basement is useless as you will frequently have 2-3 inches of water accumulate every time it rains. If you ask the staff to help repair this problem, they seem to blankly stare at you as if to say, "Hey, it says in your contract that we aren't responsible for any water damage in your basement. It's your problem!" Additionally, while the staff did take some measures to decrease the rodent infestation of its apartments, field mice will be a constant problem that you will have to deal with yourself. Lastly, while the staff are generally friendly, the company's business policies are unscrupulous, and you will likely not receive your security deposit back. At the end of the day, the company will find any excuse possible not to return your security deposit. Overall, Adam's Park seems like a place that might be nice for a family, but, in short, the parent company couldn't care less about their tenants and more about their profit-margin alienating the very people that are paying their salaries. Do yourself a favor and move into one of the many newer apartment complexes in the Albany area. You will not regret your decision. My family and I deeply regret our decision to move into Adam's Park, and we are quite happy to have moved away from this disaster of a company.
