I lived at Boulevard Towers for a year, and I'm glad to say I'm past that nightmare. The other reviewer had it right-- SIARA Management is AWFUL, they care more about their bottom line then their tenants. My issues: 1.) The water problems. My friends in the 90 building would take a shower and suddenly have SCALDING hot water pour out of the tap. Its dangerous and one elderly lady I spoke with got severely burned. Also, I had no water for days. No reimbursement--its "covered in the lease". 2.) Construction. Everywhere. Loud, annoying, now difficult to find parking.Unnecessary construction--they seem to fix things that don't need to be, and leave the more urgent problems (i.e. the ancient water system) alone. 3.) The garbage chutes do not function, and everyone must carry their garbage down to a hallway.... the stink of the garbage permeates the whole building. 4.) The management. A big reason why I moved there is the courtesy and knowledge of the staff... my leasing consultant Christy was great, she totally went out of her way to accommodate me and my special circumstances. She and the property manager at the time, Cindy, did battle with the management to ensure I was taken care of. Since that time, Christy and every other decent office worker has left (high employee turnover is a big red flag--you dont take care of your employees, you def wont take care of your tenants) and Cindy, who was wonderful and personable and really seemed to get things done, was fired. She really cared about her residents and I heard from many people how she went up against Siara Management to fight for them and usually was thwarted. Siara DOES NOT care about you, they care about your $$$ and screw you every which way to get more out of you and refuse to spend any money to get things right. 5.) After Cindy left, the place fell apart. The accountant is one nasty lady, very rude on the phone, you should here her voicemails if you don't have you're rent in by the morning of 5th day! i cant believe they have someone around with SUCH poor customer service skills... shes mean to everyone. The leasing person is a grump who never smiles, and the receptionist has no clue what shes doing! The managers now are from Siara, ones an older lady who yells at her staff in front of tenants--extremely unprofessional)everyones scared of her and she told me one thing one day and another thing contradicting it the next... and copped an attitude with me stating shes 3rd in line in the company! She has no clue how to manage, everything fell apart after Cindy left. 6.) The buildings are old, and the apartments are crappy... and they keep raising the rent. My neighbor tells me when she moved in three years ago, the rent was $695 now its $730! 7.) The pool-- closed for half the summer. 8.) The gas grills-- like pulling teeth to get em turned on-- my friend was told they were on, had a planned a grad party back there, everyone came and they were NOT turned on! Ruined her graduation day, she was crushed, the account hung up on herv when she called to complain! 7.) Their maintenance and janitors are terrible. Every single appliance had problems since moving in (my fridge died) they refuse to replace them, the maintenance staff keeps switching cuz they cant keep anyone, and it takes two weeks to get anything done--there always shortstaffed or in training. I went 2 weeks without a dishwasher! I could go on & on, but you get my drift... living here is hell, don't even bother!
