Campus Manor Apartments
Resident · 2010 - 2012
I've lived at Campus Manor for 2 years, however thankful because they allowed pets, I couldn't wait to leave. The apartments are small, and the kitchen/baths are very small. The plumbing and basements are always backing up with sewer waste, and the hallways are very dirty and loud (Door Slamming and dogs barking), with no locks on your mailbox. Always make sure your storage unit is locked for sure, because your things will be stolen. If you're a professional, you will not want to live in this community. I know it's tempting because of the school location/pet policy but I promise you will not be happy. Students, are taking this community over, Damen College students party all night and cars go very fast down Campus Drive. You will have to be very careful with your children/pets because of the speeding. I also see all breeds of animals that were never allowed (Aggressive Breeds). They had pet stations that were very pet/resident friendly and garbage cans to dispose of pet waste, but they took those away. The blinds are horrible and break very easily, and spiders all year round. The windows and walls are in the apartments are in horrible shape. You will have tile in your bathroom, it will be pink, yellow or green, if they had to patch it, multiple colors. Very special! Clogs, leakes, can I say plumbing issues. Ladies nothing down the toilet, I mean nothing. If your caught putting anything other that toilet paper down your toilet, you could be charged for damages. Parking is available, but depending on what building you live in, not close to your apartment (make sure you have guest passes if you have company). We did have a couple of break-ins, which may have been prevented if the outside building lights were working. Funny how the next day the lights were added. I hope this helps you understand what it's like living at Campus Manor. Nice they added the gym, but I really didn't use it very much. Please don't let that make your decision for you. I think a gym membership is $20 bucks a month. For the price and the hassle not worth it!
