I highly recommend Northway Eleven! There are always going to be problems no matter what apartments you live in. When I picked the apartments I wanted to live in I based my decision on their reviews. So here you go....
Yes the apartments can be a little outdated but no apartment is going to have the top of the line appliances for the price you pay here. You get 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 car garage, washer/dryer, and dish washer. I have heat and hot water included as well.
Maintenance is great! Everytime I have had to call they have been there within the hour. Maintenance however, has walked in after 1 knock on the door when my boyfriend was in bed so I usually wait to call maintenance until I am home. Plowing is not the best but the 2013-14 winter was harsh. I did have to call once to be plowed out because I couldnt get out of my garage at 10:00 am on a Sunday but i was able to get out within the next 15 minutes. You do have to shovel your own sidewalk and about a foot in front of your own garage. Besides during the winter, the landscaping and upkeep is great.
You can hear your neighbors through the walls...for an example I can hear my 1 neighbor walking up and down their stairs to their laundry room and I can hear my other neighbor moving their hangers in the closet but other than that itâ??s fairly quiet. But it all depends on your neighbor(s). I found out the hard way there isnâ??t much management could do about my last neighbor smoking weed in their garage and I could smell it all the way in my kitchen and laudry room/garage. My laundry started to smell like it and the office just said to call the police the next time it happens.
Parking stinks! Most people who live here park in the "visitor" spots as their normal parking spots and management does nothing about it. So when I have visitors they either have to park on the grass or in a spot thats not even close to my apartment.
Trash usually gets taken every Thursday. Be careful about your recyclable items because everytime I put mine out (no matter what they were in) they still get thrown out with the normal garbage. Also if your neighbors put their trash out the night before animals will get into it and there will be trash blowing around for the next couple days.
Besides the lights from your garages and apartments, there are no outside street lights. So you can't really walk/run after dark, especially with the way people speed thru.
Location is key here! With Hannaford and Exit 11 right there it is awesome.
The Office Staff and Management is great! They do help you the best they can! But try not to call on Sunday's because the woman who usually works i think is only part-time and normally recommends to call back on Monday if she can't help you or answer your question(s).
Pets are not allowed which also is a huge drawback. But I do still see a few cats walking around the neighborhood-that must come from somewhere.
Make sure you look at your apartment before you move in. There is 1 apartment out of each building that has all the electrical meters and hot water tank, etc for the entire building which takes up ALOT of room and the laudry room gets very hot in the summer with the equipment taking up this space. Having the meters in the garage means more visits to your garage when the meters need to be checked.
There are alot of spiders/ants in the garage area so be prepared to have lots of raid.
There are not alot of young adults where I live-except for my 1 neighbor-which is awesome because there are no real parties or disturbances. I think the management tries to keep "kids" out with having most pay new renters pay double security. However, like I said depending on your neighbors, there can be trash and beer bottles/cans, cigarettes, etc outside and the office does nothing about it.
Other reviews talk about a mold problem in the bathroom. I turn on my vent and regularly clean my bathroom and I dont have this problem.
If you compare this apartment complex to others, especially in Clifton Park, you will see a huge difference! The only reason I would move is if I get a house, which management will let you move out before your lease is over for.
