I recently moved out and am glad I did not renew my lease. You can hear the people above you wherever they walk, when they talk, you can hear their tv, this is especially difficult when you're trying to sleep. The laundry rooms are very old, poorly lit, are not well maintained and the washers smell like mold and they leak on the floor. The kitchens are very old, old appliances, very old cabinets that rarely stay shut, the stove burners frequently stop working, the floors and countertops are old but in good condition. There is a built in air conditioner in the living room and in the bedroom. These are VERY OLD. They do not work well at all, and they spew dust out into the apartment, and are extremely loud. You can't hear your TV over it when it's on. There is a lot of space in my apartment, which is great if you have kids and pets. They are pet friendly and have doggy bags available to clean up after your pet, which is nice. Snow removal is decent on the main road, but not behind the garages or on any of the side roads, it can be very slippery when taking dogs out. For me personally, maintenance does a good job but I have friends in my building who have not had the same kind of efficient service as I have. Living here you are centrally located to lots of great places to eat, which is a plus. However the office staff is not very helpful and can be at times rude, especially the property manager. Other people in my building have also had similar experiences. I truly believe these apartments are overpriced for what you get, if they updated the kitchens, laundry rooms and air conditioners, it would be more worth the money.
