Stay far far away. My husband and I lived in these apartments for a year. That was long enough to see how poorly this place is run. The buildings are run down and they do not let you see the place you're renting until the day you move in. Surprise surprise the apartment will not have the same quality carpentry, carpeting, paint, or kitchen anything that you see in the model. Also the rental office is next to the most attractive section. Drive around the entire complex before you sign the lease. You will see homeless people dumpster diving, your potentially new neighbors drying their tighty whities on the bushes and drug deals in the parking lots. The maintenance people know very little about their jobs and basically do nothing. The landlord randomly adds miscellaneous charges to the bill and has little regard for the upkeep of his property or the competence of his employees. The rental agent Simone is nice. It's very misleading. Don't let her trap you. After you sign your lease you never deal with her again and I promise it's all downhill. We now live in Island View. It's cheaper and better quality and the people are respectful. Don't be fooled. There are much better places to live. You do not want to live here. I could go on and on with stories of their overall incompetence but please heed this warning. Don't live in Brookwood.
