As I scroll through this website and read the reviews about Horizon Ridge, which I happily re-upped on my lease for a second year, I am stunned by the reviews. It s a shame that a website that has good intentions is little more then a place for people to vent or exaggerate things. I would advise anyone reading the reviews here, or any complex to realize one important thing: People with an axe to grind are far more likely to take the time to write a review as a way of getting even in their minds, then people who are happy with things. I m here to try and even up the score. Horizon Ridge is an excellent place to live.
Is it perfect? No. Are the washer and dryers old? Yes. Is the plumbing frustrating at times? Yes. Is their mold growing in the bathroom? No. Is parking an issue? Let s just say in about a year I have always been able to park in front of my building or the one across the way. And, by the way, I get home at 10 PM. I have no problems with the heating, or the air conditioning. The window is a bit drafty, but that s what plastic is for.
What I really don t get are the complaints about management. The three times I have needed some sort of maintenance they were here either that day or the next day. Every time I have spoke to management here, they have been very friendly. So I m thinking that these people who are complaining about them weren t necessarily the most friendly people to be around. I would have a hard time faking a smile to these downers, too. The way I see it: Management is there when you need them, and they re not when you don t. Just how I want it.
Horizon Ridge is a very quiet and peaceful place to live. I have never had any issues with any of my neighbors, or problems with noise, in anyway. I don t have kids, but if I did I would love that there is quite a bit of safe grassy ground (in other words, away from a road), where they can run around and play. Adults can easily set up a picnic or a barbeque and not disturb anyone else. The apartment is very spacious; plenty of room to live. Chances are you ll have more closet space then you need as well. Right now I am enjoying my Road Runner Internet, which along cable, come with the rent. A rent I must add, that is more then fair for what you re getting, and with suburban life. So with that, I can smile as my towels need to be put in the dryer a second time, because in the long run, it s a very small price to pay for a great price to live.
