Ithaca has very limited apartment choices & the Meadows appeared to be the best of the worse. Martha and Stacy (Office) will greet you with a warm smile and make you feel at home until you want something repaired or you want your deposit back. The bathtub drain did not work to take a bath. Their solution at first was to not take a bath. Then they provided a rubber stopper instead of fixing the plumbing. Do not forget that the hot water tank will not even fill up the bath tub or the huge electrical bills ($270/MO) because their HVAC is so old. The windows were 1970 style & you could not even get a breeze because they were the push out type. Not to mention you can not even get them to repair a light outside your door or shovel snow. When you get fed up and move they sit on your deposit for 60 days or longer. Want to hear your neighbor flush the toilet? This is the place you have been looking for because the walls are paper thin. Built in the 70's & time to replace the office staff as well as tear it down. Beware! Managed poorly and a dump. Update: Took 43 days to get most of our deposit back. They held back 20 bucks because the stove was not clean. Again this demonstrates their lack of integrity because it was cleaned. The only reason our deposit was returned is we told them we would bring them into small claims court. We also ran into another tenant waiting over 60 days for their deposit. RUN AWAY!
