The Chesapeake at 345 east 94Th is a cesspool. Rat will run across lobby with front desk attendant laughing and ignoring, cockroach sitting idle by resident elevator bank are common. We had cockroaches come out by the sprinkler heads in our kitchen. The water outagesSee More >

The Chesapeake located at 345 east 94Th is a disgustingly dirty and trouble ridden property, particularly the 6th floor the building suffers from Fetner properties running thin almost non existent budgeting whereby the leasing staff also doubles as cleaning staff and the front desk attendantSee More >

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This property is absolutely terrible. Enjoy luxury prices for incredibly poor services. ACs old and broken, water shut offs without notice, noise and constant construction, smokers paradise, rude maintenance that don't listen and yell , etc. Enjoy your hot NYC summerSee More >

This building is undergoing a 3 year renovation, so guess what that means? Apparently, 15% annual rent increases, intermittent elevator service ( gets old when you have to walk UP 15 flights, never mind the walk down. Laundry units work intermittently also. There are farSee More >

A major pipe bursted on the 7th Floor on February 15th 2016. Everything down was flooded and destroyed, including renters personal possessions. The Building management company - Fetner - did not treat the issue with urgency, consideration and respect - people's livelihoods wereSee More >

Awful apartment building. More expensive than other apartments in the area and far less amenities. Constant maintenance issues including no air conditioning for months at a time, recent bed big infestation, mice. Unsafe neighborhood.

Noise level (both external from the construction and internal) has gotten much worse. Far away from everything. Can be better maintained. I smell my neighbors cookings all day long!

Just moved in a couple months ago. I love this building so far. The gentlemen at the front desk are nice and helpful. They have gone out of their way to get me numbers of cable/internet staff. I get an email everySee More >

I will list my most asinine experience with this building. I hope anyone that reads this come to a conclusion themselves and think if it's worth the remorse. 1. Impolite Staff, Super and Management. During the morning rush hours, the doormen block the last doors leadingSee More >

WOULD NOT RENT THIS IF I WOULD KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE FROM THE INSIDE. My biggest problem is location. It is really too far from anything - subway is away too far and you walk uphill; no any stores in the immediate neighborhoodSee More >

I really don't understand the previous reviews. I lived at the Chesapeake from April 2008 to April 2010. It is a well maintained building, with great apartments and fantastic staff. The laundry rooms weren't "state of the art," but they were good enough. And theySee More >

The super and his family bring down the building. They get more benefits than tenants do.The others workers are fine until they get mis treated. The super is not a good moral booster. Makes you want not to come home at sometimes.

Has not been here for 5 months yet but had to deal with water leaks from the upstairs appartments TWO times!!! Common areas are not clean. Laudry facility is old and very very DIRTY! Very noisy and far from subway and bus.

The super is completely lazy and never fixed Anything. The management doesn't care if the super fixes anything. They have teenage boys keeping you safe at night instead of real doormen, And the building is right next to the ------. The neighborhood construction has ruinedSee More >

I lived at the Chesapeake for three years with two other roommates in a converted 3-bedroom. Overall, I thought the building was great, the management was decent, and the neighborhood was okay. Pros: -Relatively big apartments. My friends would always comment on how huge our apartmentSee More >

I think people are being overly critical. I think it is a nice place to live. Yes it is expensive and a bit of hike to the train, but as a tradeoff you get a larger apartment than you will pay closer toSee More >

Way too expensive for an average building across the street from the projects and a huge hike up hill to get to the 6 train. The street can be very desolate at night. Also, if you had a dog, they made you use the serviceSee More >
