Resident 2019 - 2020

Overall building is fine, some nice finishes in the units, and the actual staff working at the building are mostly excellent. That said, Friedman Management (owner) is totally unresponsive, so rent here at your own risk. Simple issues get resolved typically quickly, but if youSee More >

Resident 2020

We could not be more pleased that we chose The Lara. The staff is friendly, service is excellent, common areas are well appointed and well maintained. Large lounge with coffee bar, outdoor lounge, roof deck, laundry and gym are all fantastic. Apartment has great appliances.See More >

Worst leasing office in the city, absolutely no respect or decency. They blatantly lie to you and take your application fee, then they will refuse to refund it. The place is a joke, stay away.See More >

Q: Can you hear your neighbors?
Anonymous
Answered on: 09/29/2020
A: Generally no - but you can hear the hallway like your door is open. Actually, when a door next to yours opens or closes, it sounds basically like your door has opened/closed. Also, the AC units are fairly noisy for a fairly new building and not because they need repairs. The building also has central air flow, and that air circulation, while good in theory, is also pretty noisy. And if you want any sort of privacy for your windows, be prepared to do some kind of significant installment - you get white roller shades that basically just obscure the view during the day, not much if any light reduction. And at night, when the lighting is reversed, you can't see out, but it's pretty obvious anyone outside can get a good idea of what's happening inside even if the details may be limited. Not the most comfortable situation.
