Penfield Skyline Apartments
Prospective Resident · 2018
I recently reached out to this property for a 2 bedroom apartment. I was informed that a two bedroom apartment would be opening up. I was encouraged to call back after the first of the month to walk through the space after the prior tenant vacated the space. I called back after the first of the month and was scheduled to see the space the following day. The entire meeting was handled in such a manner that it was implied strongly that I wanted the space and that as long as my credit checked out it was mine.We even negotiated a move in date based on the fact that they needed to renovate the space. I completed the application form, paid the application fee and authorized her to check my credit. (my credit is 786). I called back to coordinate dropping off the security deposit the following day. She assured me that there was no rush and to call on Monday. I called Monday, but never got a call back. I called today and was told that they "HAD" to give it to a current tenant who wanted a 2 bedroom space from a 1 bedroom. Not only had they never previously indicated that we were in any way in "competition" for the space or that there was any reason we wouldn't get it. They impacted our credit report (which negatively impacts credit scores) without good faith. Very displeased with the entire handling of this issue and would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
