Moved here a few months ago,and still undecided on whether or not this place is worth the mortgage payment sized monthly rent I'm paying.
-Close to downtown - you can walk to work if you work in the city
-Interior of apartments are very modern and nice
-Utilities are very reasonable
-Always something going on during the summer in this area
-Maintainence is very quick to respond
-Parking is a major pain in the summer. If you're not paying $100 extra for the underground parking, you can forget about finding a spot at your own home when there's any kind of event going on
-Walls between floors are thin - as I type this I can tell you the lyrics to the song the person above me is listening to
-Since the area is close to the city you get some shady characters walking through the area at times. Not all the time, and police patrol all the time, but if I were a single female I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be walking a dog in the area at night
All in all, this is a pretty cool place to live. If you work downtown then you save gas and parking money by being able to walk to work everyday, which helps to offset the steep rent. Parking is a major pain sometimes but hopefully that gets better in the fall.
