Resident 2012

6/11/2012

Where do I begin: 1) The apartments are poorly constructed - Drafty in the winter and the air conditioning is unable to maintain a moderately cool temperature when it is warm. 2) The stairs leading to the upper floors flex up and down as you walk up and "do not seem" to be properly attached to the building. You can actually see the stairs separate from the wall as you walk up them. 3) The quality of the cable service is terrible. 4) The diswasher is cheap and usually requires running it multiple times to get a good wash. 5) The fixtures are also cheap and fall off the wall with normal use (bathroom fixtures). 6) Though you pay a premium to live here in comparison to other local properties, the quality of the facility is not good. You would certainly expect more. 7) On-Site management receives a rating of poor, at best, in addressing the problems within the facility. If you are a prospective student, you should definitely consider looking elsewhere to rent an apartment. This is a poor value for the money - It looks good at first glance (that's how I got sucked in), but when you live there, it is a different story - And this is a relatively new facility. Park Point Management needs to work on their customer service in addressing valid concerns. It seems this is another example of a large corporation taking advantage of a captive audience. The real question is where or not Rochester Institute of Technology knows how their students are being treated and, in my case, taken advantage of? Renter Beware!!
