Resident 2015

7/4/2015

So I've lived here for about 9 months now, from November 2014 to July 2015. Since the winter was so bad, all the ice that formed caused a leak in my kitchen above one of my cabinets. It only leaks when it rains...but unfortunately rain is part of nature, so it happens. Regardless, I have told staff about this leak since February and none of them seem to be concerned. It's gotten to the point where even if it's drizzling my whole kitchen floods. I called the management of the complex on Monday, and told them about them about all this, and they just took my number down and said we will be there when we can. I've since called the health department about it, and they stopped by with maintenace 3 days ago. They said, and I quote, " This has to be taken care of immediately." That was on Thursday...it is now Saturday and nobody has come. Oh and better yet, there is now an abundance of mold growing in my cabinet. So I'm ever so thankful to be inhaling all of this mold. I just sit here and think to myself, wow it's great I know how to swim, considering I have to wade across my kitchen to get to my stove. I never thought I would experience monsoon season living in Northern New York, but I guess oddities do occur in life. I'm just worried that wild life are going to start moving in, thinking my kitchen is a natural spring and that the mold an abundant food source. I should probably start building an ark, in case the flood spreads at this point or just go live outside. I will include pictures later.
