One City Place
Resident • 2005 - 2007 Not Recommended
I have lived in several apartments that were not considered "luxury," but compared to this "so called luxury" apartment, I can say all previous places I have lived were in fact luxurious!
One City Place boasts many things. But the things they don't tell you about are: 1) The horrible management company that has little respect or concern for residents. It would seem that we are enemies to them. They do not communicate with residents about what takes place in the building.
2) The shoddy construction within the building. There is no insulation between apartment walls, so you will find many sound issues with your neighbors. In terms of the amenities (pool, sauna, movie theater, computer room, gym), which you will pay $600 or more a year for...they are always broken, and closed for repair. The sauna leaks, the gym is missing weights and is very unclean, and the movie theater closes often because the pool leaks into it!
3) The Horrible Noise from Outside the Building. If your apartment faces the roof of City Center you will hear loud, sleep disrupting mechanical noises/humming at all hours. If your apartment faces Trump Tower then you will hear loud music from the courtyard of City Center.
4) Illegal Construction that occured in our parking garage-an attempt to take 30 parkings from residential parking. It was shut down by the building dept when it was reported by the resident association.
5) The lack of hot water at all times. No one seems to be able to figure out why, or solve the problem, but lukewarm water is about all you get!

SO, MY ADVICE: STAY AWAY!!
