I lived at brookstone for 2 years. The first year I lived there was great; maintance issues were fixed almost immediately, no issues with neighbors (it has always been very quiet) and I really enjoyed having the gym on site. I never have and still do not use the pool, because it's basically a frat party with mostly people who don't live within the complex, but they were never bothersome and kept to themselves at the pool, so that was okay with me.
The second year of my lease was not as great as the first year. The apartment is in the process of changing management and it seems very unorganized, maintance issues are never answered. The rent has increased drastically since first living here, and they are adding more and more hidden fees such as charging for the washer and drier, and utilities are typically $200 minimum a month, when we rarely have air/heat on high. For me, it was not worth continuing to live here for what they are charging, and poor management on top of it.
