My roommate and I have been living here for about a month now. We choose the place over all the other buildings due to the amazing price for the insanely large space you can get. We also decided to go with the building, even with the past reviews, because we were told management had changed and the building was recently bought. And we have seen nothing but promising changes! The doors are always locked when i come in, the front entrance has been repainted- although it really needs a new exterior door and lock. In other words, we feel quite safe. The building has extremely diverse tenants, everyone from business men moving in from the Ernst and Young building, to restaurant owners, students and elderly. yeah, its not the cleanest and doesn't have state of the art gyms or kitchens, but that's why we pay less! You can NOT get a better location, especially with all of the work being done on the waterfront, the new E&Y building and the new aloft hotel. We are their neighbors! In addition, the building no longer accepts Section 8, so unless they've been grandfathered in, that is no longer an issue. This is a great location and space for the price you pay and is in the heart of it all.
