It is accessible to the entire north west community, Griggs Resorvore Park, a beautiful setting & the office staff are great, taking the time to meet you with your needs, would highly recommend that one take the time to explore this community.

We have lived in the apartments for 6 months and are pretty happy to be leaving. Pros: The staff is friendly and (tries to be) helpful when we bring up issues. When we mentioned the noise coming from upstairs they offered to speak to our neighbors, and the noise did decrease somewhat. The complex is in a very nice area and right next to the river, including a walking/cycling path and a disc golf course. It's great to be able to walk along the path without driving anywhere. We don't have a dog but the complex is pet-friendly. They are currently renovating the units as people move out, from what I've seen they look pretty nice (can only comment on the living room/kitchen area, not the bathrooms or bedrooms). The carpet in our unit was brand-new and clean. Although the doors are constantly broken I never feel unsafe and everyone I've run into has been nice. There is a small gym which is adequate but pretty dirty. The pool looks ok. Cons: The MAJOR issue with the apartments is the infrastructure. The buildings are OLD, shoddily built, and falling apart. Our apartment is not renovated, so things may be better… See More>

There is limited parking. Apartment tenants and their guests are not allowed to park where the condo owners park, but their guests are allowed to take our limited spaces. Maintenance requests go ignored for day and days. Hot water and air conditioning frequently go out. The wiring is questionable. We can not use the microwave and dryer at the same time without the power going out. Pet waste receptacles are rarely emptied and are often overflowing with bags scattered around it. Snow removal takes days. The walkways were never treated for ice in the miracle that they were shoveled. Renovated units are worked on during all hours of the day and night. Constant construction sounds if an apartment you share a wall with is undergoing renovations. Above all the absolute lack of respect for current tenants of the property they purchased is upsetting.

I own one of the townhouses, which I rent out. I have found the new CPS management company very lacking in communication. They said that they have been sending letters that went to an old address but never bothered to send them to the condo. Also, some one stole all the keys out out of the office and they had to change all the locks around the community, luckily, I had already changed my locks. They've been notified about yellow jackets and do not take care of them on the community property. There's a lot of problems with the current management. My tenants are very happy with their condo because I take care of it very well. Rent from an owner.

This review is for the townhouse condos. I lived here for 5 years and loved the property and the condo I rented. It was privately owned and the landlord took great care of the unit. It was updated with an efficient furnace so my utilities were very reasonable. The community was well maintained and I always felt safe and comfortable. The accessibility to the nature was a huge plus but also the location is also great for easily accessing Downtown, Grandview, Upper Arlington, Dublin, Hilliard, and OSU. I was actually considering buying a property myself but ended up relocating out of state. In short, I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it anyone looking in the UA area.

I love the location! The river is beautiful and walking along the Frisbee golf park and Hoover park are wonderful. The buildings are well maintained and my neighbors were all very nice. I thought the price was great for what you get in comparison to other properties. Upper Arlington is a great community and this property is in the school district. Though this property is very pet friendly the residents could clean-up after them better. I know the property has a service but man... clean-up after your dog!

I stayed in a 2 bedroom, full basement in the condos at Arlington Pointe, this is the same area as the apartments but instead of leasing through the office/company my condo was owned by one individual. Overall had a great experience there, if the rent was cheaper I would have stayed. Pros: Area was minimal noise and safe neighborhood. Police cars would drive through neighborhood occasionally, made me feel better about my safety. I had an upgraded condo with stainless steel amenities for the kitchen. The only thing that never worked was the mini fridge in the basement which we didn't bother to get fixed because we never would have used it. Bedrooms and living room were very spacious. Loved the park that was located right next to us. People would walk their dogs, play frisbee golf, or go for a jog. Very convenient having so close. Neighbors were also very friendly. Most college students lived in the apartments, more of new couples and new families would live in the condos. Our landlord was unorganized at times but very friendly and helpful in getting us situated. Never had to worry about landscaping not being up kept, Every Thursday morning bright and… See More>

I lived here last year. The neighborhood is very nice, but these apartments are very poor quality. The paint is chipping and discolored, the whole floor had plumbing issues every single week, and we had pieces of wall and counter falling apart. The maintenance crew is composed of just one person and he is flaky and incompetent? I'm not sure if it's incompetence or apathy but anything he "fixed" broke within days. The entire time I was there, neither the heat nor the cold reached my room. I was freezing in the winter and burning up in the summer. They literally never fixed this. In addition, the door is opened by fob and one of the doors literally never worked for me. They never fixed this either. Sometimes both doors will be unopenable and you have to wait until someone comes out. I repeat: SOMETIMES, YOU ARE LITERALLY UNABLE TO GET IN TO YOUR APARTMENT BECAUSE NEITHER DOOR OPENS WITH YOUR FOB. The stairs are sharply angled and very difficult to climb with furniture. There is a tiny elevator but it is so shoddy you feel like you're going to fall to your death. The noise level is not terrible but there… See More>

I moved to Columbus (Arlington Pointe) from the San Diego area and had heard good things about the complex. I was very surprised about the maintenance man, ----. As I was moving in I had problems with my stove, the carpets were old and had been a home of a cat before me, and the heat was having problems. In less than a week ---- replaced my stove, had the carpet replaced, and fixed my heat (twice because it went out again). ---- has been awesome since i moved in. He is professional and helpful. He is nice and timely. If you call on ---- he will answer and he will get on whatever problem there is right away. I am very grateful to have ---- at Arlington Pointe, he is keeping this place alive. The walls are thin and if people live above you, you will hear them. But other than that it is exactly what you would want from an apartment. Truly though, without ---- I am not so sure I would have stayed...i looked at other places but since I was taken care of so well...i decided to stay with Arlington Pointe. I have enjoyed living in Arlington Pointe, The area is very safe and convenient to many parts of Columbus including the Campus area, Upper Arlington, Clintonville, Grandview. etc. There is always plenty of parking available for both me and my guests. Depending on your unit there may be a small amount of noise from the road. Our maintenance requests have been fulfilled and Rick, our building's maintenance person, has always been courteous and done a good job on the repairs. A big bonus is the park and river that are next to the complex. The park is a great place to run, walk your dog, or play disc golf along the scenic river. There is a small path that connects the Arlington Pointe parking lot and the park so there is no need to drive over or walk on the busy roadway.

Overall, I really like this complex. It is a decent price for the area and I've never had any safety concerns. The outdoor area is well lit and there is a pool and small workout area at the clubhouse that you can use for no extra charge. Coin laundry is available in each apartment building which is really convenient. Rick the maintenance man for the complex always responds to maintenance requests in a timely manner, even in the middle of the night. Usually major problems are resolved in a day or two and minor concerns within the same business week. He is always friendly and respectful of your time constraints or other concerns. The only issue is that there is way too much work in this pair of older buildings for one person! I am confident problems would be resolved much faster if another person or two were hired on to help him out. Not only does he handle all the maintenance requests, he is also the one who preps all the units that are about to be rented out to new tenets. Kyle is always friendly and helpful. I like the location, the amenities and the look of the place. Their maintenance man, Rick, is absolutely amazing. He always takes the time needed to do the job right and checks in to make sure your problems are solved. Unfortunately, the management seem to be handing off more repairs than is humanly possible for one man, let alone 2 or 3, to finish in a reasonable period of time. As a result, the repairs needed by current tenants come as a trickle, with many promises to stop by that never come to fruition because yet another move-in suddenly needs to be prepped. As a result, those of us who have lived here end up living with problems for months. I am still waiting for things to be fixed from when I first moved in 6 months ago. I spent several months with a hole in my ceiling due to a leaking pipe, and while they've covered the hole, they still haven't managed to fix the water damage behind the shower or paint the ceiling. I'll see Rick as early as 7AM and as late as 8PM around the complex, having spent the whole… See More>

He responds very quick, fixes things correct, cares about the building and keeping the residents happy. Overall I am very happy with the service i receive. He will also make sure to follow up with you and check on the repairs made. You don't always get this kind of service when you rent.

I have lived here for almost a year now and while the apartments are not as new as other complexes around the area, I love it. Whenever I have issues our property manager Kyle is always quick to respond and our maintenance guy Rick, is always super friendly and super helpful. I haven't had any major issues while here and I honestly feel like it's my home not just an apartment. It's not the most up to date place, but for the price, location, and space you get, it's perfect. I love it here!

When I first moved in more than a year ago, the management and maintenance were terrible. Lots of cut corners and half-baked fixes and rarely were my emails returned. Since then, they've transitioned to a new management team and I haven't had troubles since! The apartments are clean and pretty cozy and any issues I've had since the new management took over have been fixed within 24-48 hours. The new maintenance guy the management team hired (Rick) is really friendly and knowledgable and always follows up to make sure things are fixed. The grounds are great if you have a dog that needs to space to run around and I always felt safe in the community. Most of the apartments are for students and young pros and young families and all my neighbors have been incredibly friendly. Nice location to boot! Sure, it's pricier than most places, but I'd say it's worth it.

I have lived in the apartments for 6 months now. My ceiling has collapsed three times and duct tape is their go to repair method. For one person, you are required to pay $35/month for water (price goes up each year) - which is an absolutely absurd price. All other utilities except electricity are also at terribly dumb monthly rates. If you have a pet, refuse to pay their $45/month fee. They advertise $635/month for a one bedroom but I am paying $741/month with their mandatory utility costs and one pet at $30/mo. Absolutely not worth the price. In addition, my car has been side swiped twice throughout the night. And my AC sounds like a jet engine taking off down the hallway. With all that said, property manager and maintenance are nice - however it doesn't mean they're effecient.

Great place for those on a budget and aren't redicously picky.

These apartments are in a great location in Upper Arlington with easy access to downtown and Ohio State campus. Yes the buildings are older and need some work but, overall the positives outweigh the negatives. For one you have a 24 hour gym with mounted tvs and several treadmills. Along with an in-ground pool and grilling patio that is the place to be during the summer months. The landscaping is done very well, which is nicely complimented by the Scioto River. As far as the apartments go they are well suited for those who are more on a budget rather than those expecting luxury. They are quite spacious besides the size of the kitchens, but the kitchens do have good counter and cabinet space. As an OSU student I can't complain when comparing the rent prices to surrounding apartments,I and have enjoyed my time here. So, when heading into it don't expect to be blown away, but with the gym and pool access the living conditions are quite comfortable.

Atrocious apartment. The good: - The location (UA schools, close to campus). The bad: - Leaks through both of our bathroom ceilings - Our bathroom leaks on tenant floor below - No garbage disposal for 3 months - If you're disabled/elderly this place is impossible for you to live in, there are stairs going up and down upon entry into the building. There's a completely useless elevator in the center of the building. - There is no heat/AC, it's a very old boiler/chiller that goes out frequently and is turned on and off at the discretion of the office. - You'll frequently go without hot water - Someone's dog pooped in the hallway and the turd remained there for 3 days. - Most people don't clean up after their dogs in the grass/common areas. - Loud apartment, very loud. You'll hear everything your neighbors do. - Unprofessional staff. Don't expect very much from the office or maintenance. - Parking is okay if you get off work before 6, otherwise plan on parking pretty far. - Lots of break-ins in vehicles. We even got notices from the office telling us to make sure we did not leave valuables in our cars to stop the break-ins... which is akin to telling… See More>

Don't make the same mistake I did! DO NOT RENT HERE!!

Beware!! This apartment complex is not owned by a large management company, it's owned by an individual and managed through KRG. It's just like renting from any individual, nothing gets fixed and they take shortcuts on everything. The heating/cooling is controlled by the owners/property office. You control the temperature once they switch on hot/cold. They wait FOREVER to turn on the air, and the heat comes on at the beginning of September. It's been 80 degrees in my apartment several times and I'm only on the second floor. People on the third and fourth floors have window ac's! The hot water goes out REGULARLY! This May it was out for an entire weekend. The next weekend the ac was out, naturally it was the only weekend in may that we got into the 80's. When I went the the rental office Phil acted like he had no idea there was an issue a d acted like it was fixed and it was just me, even though I'd heard two other people complaining about it. Experience with my Condo is better than the apartment blocks

Most of the reviews written below refer to the apartment blocks facing 33. We've lived in this area for 5 years now in the condos facing the river and love it. It's a 3 br with one and a half bath with granite counters, wood floors and a basement. Not to mention access to the 24 hr. gym, the river, park nearby and nice landscaping. While I'm sure the apartments are the mildewed tenements they are reported to be, the condos in the back are a world apart. Very dog friendly area too. Oh, and I DO NOT work for the condo association.

Safe - hope that makes up for all the downfalls!

I lived in this complex because I wanted to be safe, living by myself. It definitely is safe, but there are so many bad aspects about my apartment that it's just not worth it to me to stay here any longer! I completely agree with "horrible"'s review. I'm in the basement - maybe other floors are better - and have had both garbage disposal issues and a leaking bathroom ceiling. Both were much bigger issues than the temporary fixes their inept maintenance man tried to use. The garbage disposal backed up at least three times, and once had to call the emergency number because it was over a holiday weekend. That time I was able to get an actual plumber who snaked the drain and said there was going to be a huge issue soon because the line is backed up from all the units above and they're going to have to redo the drains...unlikely they'll actually spend money on that so watch out. The ceiling leaked for 3 months and took my ceiling caving in and pouring non-stop for them to admit it was a plumbing issue and not that my neighbors above me… See More>

I am pretty patient and willing to work with anyone, except this place has pushed the limits. Out kitchen sink, bathtub and toilet have all randomly overflowed while we were gone. Each time they released foul, disgusting dirty water and saturated all the way out into the carpeted areas. The first time it overflowed, we waited nearly a month to have it cleaned, and it only happened because I rented a carpet scrubber and did it myself!!!!! The apartment manager is very nice at first, but after a complaint they pretty much ignore any more problems unless you complain multiple times. I had to threaten to call an attorney or the health deparment before work was done on the flooding issues. We randomly have hot water. Most of the times it's soo cold that you can't even step into the tub. I can't wait until I can move out of here!!!!! The drying machines on our floor always eats the coins and is constantly broken down. It's gotta be 10 years old, they must just be saving the change it eats to buy a new one.

                                                affordable in good area

I just moved into my new one bedroom apartment- tons of living space which is nice considering I have oversized furniture! Buildings are older but well maintained, I didn't expect brand new because I got a great price. The gas and water is a fixed rate which is nice. The heat setting is on in the winter so it gets nice and toasty. The laundry room is on my floor but there are two others in my building which again is a plus- only a dollar for the coin laundry. The fitness center is open 24-hours which works out with my schedule. Also was able to rent out the clubhouse for an office get together during the week- very affordable compared to other apartment complexes. I just moved from the Quarry where I was paying over 700.00 for a one bedroom and honestly it is a newer property but it did have many issues. To sum it up I am Happy with my apartment here, it is affordable safe (secured doors) and roomy. I would refer this property.

Not as great as it seems

Sure the river is beautiful, especially if you visit on one of those great summer days, but don't be fooled, this is Columbus, it will get cold and the river won't be as pretty. The walls are paper thin and the drop ceiling is a cheap knock-off of the already cheap ceiling material. The guys next door to me have a great sound system which is great for them but I don't love feeling like I'm living next to a movie theater. The road is loud, the dryers are consistently broken without being marked. Need maintenance? Forget it. I waited 3 weeks for them to fix my blinds that were broken and hanging when I moved in. When the people above me walk around things in my apartment shake. The dishwasher has a plastic bag covering it, but that doesn't matter because it doesn't work worth a damn anyway. The over door doesn't close, even though they told me they've fixed it. If you want reliable hot water you should plan on showering at a friends. Having a good looking clubhouse and gym is nice but the club house is… See More>

A: Short answer: YES. The infrastructure is terrible and walls are super thin. We have a corner unit so only share one wall, and those neighbors have been quiet. But we can hear EVERY STEP our upstairs neighbors take and unfortunately they seem to stay up ALL night 4-5 days out of the week. In addition our bedroom wall is essentially part of the stairwell so we hear people running/stomping down the stairs to go to work as well as the outside door SLAMMING over and over all morning. They are currently renovating all of the apartments as people move out so you may end up living next to or below a unit that is being renovated... just not worth it.
