I moved into my two bedroom apartment at Galloway Village in October 2012 and have been very pleased. The leasing office staff is very knowledgable and I often feel they go above and beyond, especially the new property manager Brett. The only issue I have had was that my upstairs neighbor moved in and brought a very large, very loud dog with them that would have WWE-style wrestling matches at all hours of the day and night (this was a very big problem since I work from home and am on the phone with customers a lot) so I emailed Brett and the issue was cleared up almost immediately. The maintenance staff is fantastic, especially Jim who will come in and make you feel like his best friend as you chat while he's working. I have only had to put in two or three maintenance calls (for things out of their control - the fan in the freezer stopped working, the shower wouldn't drain & the toilet refused to flush due to a previous young resident putting a Barbie down the toilet) and maintenance came straight away and fixed the problem right then.
I remember driving past these apartments when I was younger and thinking how awful they looked but they have really taken a complete turn around since then and I am glad to have given them a chance while apartment hunting because they really offered me everything I was looking for. The grounds are well kept as far as cleanliness and up keep. Directly behind my apartment building is a playground and basketball court which is nice to have and there are also many many stores within walking distance - Giant Eagle, Family Dollar, the public library, CVS, many restaurant, and much more.
The only things I will say could use some improvement are the lighting around the parking lots in the back (my boyfriend insists I park in the front under the street light if I am coming in after dark by myself) because there are often groups of young guys playing basketball or hanging out around the steps to the building. Also, during the winter months I have had to have my heat set to 78 because of the cold air coming in the windows (which I have 8 of since I am in an end unit) but when I moved in in the fall if was great to be able to open up all the windows and have the breeze throughout the apartment.
Overall, I am enjoying my experience living at Galloway Village. I think the money is well worth the amount of space and the level of service I receive from the office. I would definitely recommend this community to friends and family members.
