Iāve been here since April 2020 and will NOT be renewing my lease. The ONLY upside to living here is the staff. The assistant property manager, the 1-2 leasing consultants I have had direct contact with and a couple of the maintenance guys I have had direct contact with, are really friendly and really professional (which is why my mostly negative review equates to three stars instead of the ONE Iād rather give). So, it is a complete waste that they represent such a sad excuse of a community. For one, there have been reported car break-ins on a frequent basis stretching as far back as 2014! I myself had my car broken into back in November (debit cards and a phone mount were taken). Their response to these criminal situations are non-existent. Instead of taking action to increase security, they tell us to call the police if we see anyone suspicious late at night/early in the morning. What the ---- will that do? Secondly, the buildings here are OLD! This place was built in the 70s and has not been renovated since ------- 1999. Sure, theyāve maybe updated some cabinets and flooring and made the units LOOK nice but structurally, these buildings are still stuck in the 1970s. And this is evidenced by the fact that you will be able to hear your neighbors above and across from you, if you decide to live in an apartment here. As soon as someone enters the building, youāll be able to hear them talking, walking up the stairs and/or going into their apartment. Youāll also be able to smell everything your neighbors cook, as well. I am frequently SMACKED by over powering food odors that are coming from my neighborsā units, IN THE HALLWAY WITHIN MY APARTMENT (and yes, the front door is closed). As if that wasnāt evidence enough of how old this place is, weāve been advised ever since temperatures dropped to below freezing, to have our faucets on a drip, to keep our heat on 24/7 and to keep our cabinets underneath the sinks open allllll so the pipes donāt freeze. This stuff is not āregular apartmentā stuff but GS will lead you to believe it is, if you ask them about it. Depending on where you live within the community, you may experience ------ parking situations, terribly noisy neighbors, you may live in an area of the community that is heavily used by people walking their dogs and leaving poop in areas right outside your building (because thereās also an issue with pet owners here not picking up after their dogs). Third, I had MAD issues with spiders and other random --- bugs through the summer and fall, last year. I have no clue how they kept finding their way in here but I canāt tell you how many Iāve killed in my bath tub, in my toddler daughterās room, in the kitchen and in the living room. The heat/AC is also noisy and something youāll have to get used to, should you decide to move here for whatever reason. This is my first (AND LAST) winter here, so I wasnāt aware of the need for us to have to leave our faucets on a drip, leave the cabinets open, keep the heat on all day everyday, and the lackluster job thatās done in keeping the sidewalks and roads within the community cleared of ice. Overall, Iām not satisfied and will be moving come April. Iāve found a much better place at a MUCH better value and will be paying $400 more than I do here but like I said, this new place has SIGNIFICANT upgrades and will be well worth the price. So, if I could suggest anything, Iād suggest you rethink moving here. The area is not the best (there is only one shared exit/entrance out of this community that empties out onto Kenny Road, which is busy during most parts of the day) & you can find a much better living situation that isnāt overpriced, elsewhere. The staff here are great but it doesnāt outweigh the bad in everything else, unfortunately.
