While I liked the actual apartment and Madison Park staff, the move-out process was awful. I've never been nickel and dimed like Preferred Living did. It completely changed my opinion of my experience, which really is a bummer. We were charged for painting, for light bulbs, a ridiculous amount for drip pans, outrageous cleaning fees. Should you choose to live in one of their properties, document. Document. Document. Everything. Twice. And then again. We were model tenants, and ended up "owing" them a balance. They really do get you on the way out. I can't imagine how other people fare. Also, be aware that electric bills are really high too.
