Resident 2020 - 2024

Pretty good for the price

I have been here since the end of 2020. First and foremost, this is an entertainment complex. Yes, there are clubs. Did you not see their giant signs when you moved in? That means there will be music at night and the parking lots will be full. Welcome to city life. The biggest problem is neighbors in a domestic violence situation. I understand that there are laws and procedures and that it takes time (literally months) to get the courts to evict them, if they even approve it. Tenants have rights, even if they are a POS. I walk around here at night, regularly, and have never felt unsafe. I actually love most of my neighbors. As far as the rude staff... I, I'll admit, that was actually a thing until 2023 when they got all new office staff and grounds keepers. They are currently in the process of remodeling, building more apartments and giving the place a face lift. Reading these reviews, I'm glad that those Karens moved out. I don't think I would enjoy living next to people that spend their entire lives complaining and bothering their neighbors. That is a miserable Rustam and I'm willing to bet… See More>

WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND WOODCROFT OR THE CONTINENT AS LONG AS THIS RAC!ST TRASH JODY IS IN THE OFFICE SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO TALK TO ME CRAZY TODAY, AND SHE THINK SHE BETTER THAN EVERYBODY SHE TAKE HER POSITION OF POWER AND USE THAT AS AN ADVANTAGE! SHE ABUSES HER TITLE AND POSTION, LET ALONE TRIED TO TELL ME MY WIFE WASN’T ON MY LEASE AND I HAVE MULTIPLE DOCUMENTS TO PROVE OTHERWISE! I HAD TO TRAVEL FROM OUT OF STATE CARING FOR MY SICK GRANDMOTHER WHO IS PASSING ALL BECAUSE JODY DON’T WANT TO REMOVE ME FROM THE MONTH-TO-MONTH LEASE AND PUT MY WIFE AS PRIMARY ALL BECAUSE THEY GOT ALL THESE NEW POLICY CHANGES! DO NOT RENT HERE DO NOT!! I HEARD ALL ABOUT HER AND THE WAY SHE TREATS PEOPLE WHEN RHONDA WAS IN THE OFFICE EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. NOW THIS TRASH COMES AND IT’S A MESS! EVERYBODY IS MOVING FROM WOODCROFT AND THE CONTINENT! THE OWNER SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED TO HE COULDN’T EVEN EMAIL ME BACK

I moved into this hellhole a year ago. The office staff are beyond rude. If you come to them with a problem they will snap at you and blame you for said issue. They never answer the phones and on the rare occasion that they do they act like it’s a hassle to do their jobs. The manager has been known to allow her staff members children to outright assault other children on the grounds. She allows these children to steal from other people and destroy property. If you say anything they want to throw you out. The buildings always smell. And don’t get me started on the bug problem there.

The French Quarter is known for it's air conditioning problems experienced every year. It has roaches and the parking lot will most likely destroy your car's undercarriage, wheels and tires. While the price is all included the problems you will experience such as your apartment being above 80° in the morning when it's in the 60s outside will remind you why it's so cheap. The maintenance is terrible and you may have electrical problems that require you to keep your light on in the event that it might take 30-40 mins for the light to come back on if you dare to shut it of. The office staff, where to begin. The office staff are rude and disrespectful often dismissing concerns and interrupting Tennant's when addressing issues with their property. Now on to the esthetic of the property, if you've always wanted to live in a complex that resembles the movie set of a post apocalyptic village that's been cleaned up enough just to remind you of how depressing life post civilization is, then look no further. If this had a star system it would be negative 20 stars because that's how low key ratchet this complex is.

Lived there a long while ago, but really loved it. It was quiet and safe. My roommate and I attended college as well as worked full time. So, we were not home too often, but we never had any issues either. Our biggest annoyance was that our mail did not arrive until 5pm, which is the USPS's fault. When we lived there, The Continent had several clubs, restaurants and live events. However, it has been over twenty years and the property has changed ownership several times.

This apartment complex is one of the nastiest places to live in Columbus Ohio in my opinion. They have very poor staff that are extremely rude whenever you have a simple complaint. All buildings are invested with cockroaches, bed bugs and a variety of other bugs. The buildings are supposed to be locked but never are. They say they do background checks but most of the residents that live at this apartment complex are felon's, prostitutes, drug dealers etc. Grounds are covered in trash, used needles and dog poop. The hall ways in every building have carpets from the 70's that are covered in dog/cat urine and smell awful. Can't ever get anything fixed by maintenance the correct way and it takes them 3 months just to come and look at your complaint. The office staff never answers phone when you call them. This place is trash and needs to be burned down for the sake of the North side.

I would not recommend living here. Unless you want to live with roaches. I lived in the one bedroom apartments and I was there for over a year and to that other reviewer who said that the only people who write bad reviews are ones who did something wrong they were probably the apartment complex themselves posting or the apartment place asked them to say that. I paid my rent on time the whole time I lived there and I hated paying rent to live in a place with roaches for over a year. Now I cant say they didn't attempt to treat they did they went through at least 3 pest control companies but the problem never got resolved partly because they were only allowed to treat up to four apartments at a time that doesn't do anything for them to not consistently treat all the apartments that have them. I think a year is long enough for them to get rid of a problem. Also please note that if you want to pay rent on time make sure you go to the office before 4pm or before 3:30pm they are notorious for closing the office prior to 5… See More>

These reviews on here are hilarious, so i just had to put my 2 cents in. The people that write bad reviews is upset with getting into trouble for doing something wrong, so they write these petty , childish reviews. I have lived here for over 10 years and i have had vary little issues. Is it loud? it can be because there is bars here. but hello did you not see them when you drove in??? The staff is the best I have dealt with, and i have been through three different ones. They get upset when you don't pay rent , but what complex doesn't get upset when you don"t pay rent? They are just doing their job. The complex is secure and i have never had any problems. they have had the same security for over 6 years. It looks like these reviews are sent by the same kind of people. The kind who did something wrong

Disgusting people run this place. The smell of weed runs through the halls so bad it will stick on your clothes, stabbings nearby all the time, don't worry about your ;ll only get mugged trying to get to it! Rhonda the manager sits on her fat butt all day eating rather than running the place and don't EVER trust Sarah the leasing agent. I had credit card information stolen while using the free wifi they tout about and the bank ran the purchases back to HER NAME! DO NOT post on Facebook about them, if you even complain about living there they will stalk out your social media and attempt to evict you illegally. I had roaches and bed bugs there that the staff refuses to treat. Also seen a dog killed because they do not care if tenants have their dogs on a leash. If you love drug dealers, shootings, and additions on to your rent (Rhonda sent out a letter last week REQUIRING you to have renter's insurance if you want to live there) welcome to The Continent French Quarter, try not to get shot by our lovely tenants!

I would not recommend anyone to live in this place. The walls crack and the rental office refuses to fix them until after you move out. The night clubs that are in the complex are loud on the weekends and will keep you up. They allow women beaters to live in the complex. When you report women getting beat they do nothing at the rental office about it. Someone tried to break into my apartment and steal my stuff. It took them 6 months to replace my front door. Only reason they did that is because i would go to the rental office and complain about it once a week. If you want to live some place cheap and dont care about living in a dump live here

If you take anything from this review I will ask you , if you don't have peace of mind , what are you paying for? Living here has put me in a deep depression and I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. Cons Very loud neighbors No peace and quiet Very Outdated building all together Thin walls Rules in the lease are not enforced No space The apartment hallway smells like weed all the time There was a stabbing right down the way a few months ago There are random holes in the walls everywhere ( no room to get your furniture in while moving) The style of the bedroom/bathroom ( the sink is in the bedroom so if you aren't living here alone, you will get woken up when someone has to use the bathroom) There is a fee of $27 to pay rent online ( which we were told was free upon moving in) Can't see your car from your apartment No elevator Pros Utilities are included in… See More>

Disgusting slum lords!!! We will not renew our lease and are in the process of breaking it. I truly believe the leasing office manager loves berating people and allowing them to live in uninhabitable conditions, its like she gets a sick pleasure out of it. She knows people live here because they have no other options. ROACH INFESTED, DIRTY SMELLY COMMON AREAS, HOLES KNOCKED IN WALLS EVERYWHERE because the hallways are too narrow to move furniture through and she has the nerve to post a letter on everyone's doors basically saying haha I'm not fixing it, triple homicides right next door eeek stay away!!! There are better options, I wouldn't stay if they offered free rent for 10 years. Oh and one more thing if you pay five days late and forget to include late fees they'll wait until the 20th to tell you that you've forgot and charge you the maximum possible even though they accept rent weeks previously. (We've purposely tested this theory for proof for our lawyer)

The only good thing about these apartments are that they include utilities. It is still not a good deal tho. When i moved into my two bedroom three years ago rent was $120 cheaper and they included a swimming pool in the amenities. Since then they have dropped the contact with the company who owns the pool, raised rent by more than $100, and have talked crap about me to other tenants. So unprofessional! When i reported roaches in my apartment i was told i would have to move. When i informed them i had called legal aid they said oh you don't have to move. No kidding. When it became necessary to change or my stove and refrigerator it was ten days before Christmas. I did not receive new appliances until two days before Christmas, only after spending over $200 on eating out three meals a day for over a week. Their solution? They wanted to give me a mini fridge and microwave to "get me thru the holiday." This place is a joke and i will not be renewing by lease

This place is awful, and here is why: - The doors are not real wood. They are made out of cardboard. - None of the sliding doors stay on the tracks. - The staff is very snobby - The are is very dangerous. There is a club that connects to the apartments, and while I was staying there there was a shooting. Not to mention all of the loud club fights on the weekends. The whole side of town is dangerous. Constant robberies and shootings, prostitution, and drugs. The Wendy's on Busch Blvd where the French Quarter is was robbed last year, along with several other restaurants and gas stations on E Dublin Granville Rd. - The leasing agents love to change their policies. One month I was late on rent, and there is a paper in the lease agreement that has a list of late fees associated with how late you are. For example, if you're late past the 5th of the month it is an extra $25, 10th, an extra $30, etc. You can actually be as late as the 20th of the month, but you have to pay an extra $95. This happened to me, and on the 20th… See More>

I have heard many stories of maintenance people walking into peoples apartments without notice.....catching the renters in compromising positions! It is a awful place most of the buidings are empty smelly and falling apart.

I have been living at the Continent French Quarter for two years now. At first everything was great and in the last year thing have gotten worse and worse. The people at the office rarely seem to be in the office during the times when they are supposed to be open. They get maintene out to your apartment quickly but it takes weeks of back and forth to get him to actually fix what is wrong. Last summer my fridge was 65 degrees. I know this because I had to buy a thermometer to prove to them it was broken. It took them nearly 3 weeks of daily calls and maintenance visits to get it fixed. The pool they have listed under amenities is false advertising. It used to be open to residents, but they apparently sold it to a business this year that now charges you to use it. The security guard for the parking lot no longer works on the weekends. We were told by the office because it costs them too much money. Since they cut back on security two of my neighbors have had this cars broken into. Someone even took the catalytic converter out… See More>

This area is TERRIBLE! and unfortunately, the area has comprised the integrity of the apartment complex. I feel that the management tries to do what the can to keep things under control, but the issues are beyond what any apartment complex can solve. The office will however investigate any concerns that are addressed to them, such as trash, noise, suspicious activity, and any unsanitary conditions. In addition, the management of the property is fairly accommodating, but unfortunately, they are VERY unprofessional. With that being said there is a lot wrong with this property and I would not recommend it to my worse enemy! As a single woman I did not feel comfortable for the majority of my four years there. The grounds are always trashed and the landscaping is very poor. The parking lot is riddled with potholes! The laundry facilities and the hallways are never clean!

Lived here in 2010 and for the area, this is a decent complex. We did not have any bugs or pests, I never felt unsafe, the parking lot is large and well-lit, and the front office staff is moderately responsive. The kitchen is tiny, but the heat and AC work well and most appliances were functional. Definitely better than some of the other complexes along 161.

My neighbor constantly blares their music and after continuous calls to the rental office the issue has not been resolved. The hallways are never clean and smell like marijuana. The mail room lobby door is always broken and the floors are never mopped. They allow dogs here and the lovely aroma of dog ---- is present when you walk to the parking lot. The rent has been raised to $750, which is entirely too high for these conditions and the area. If you choose to live here you will experience a YEAR IN HELL!
