Resident 2022 - 2023

Management is extremely rude

I have never met someone so ignorant. Im going to keep it short and simple . I’m not sure where the disconnect is with Zach and I but this man literally does not give me a break . I’ve prayed and prayed and prayed for protection from this evil person but I cannot catch a break . When I was going through my postpartum depression he was so mean to me and I just pray time will pass so I can move somewhere where they value my business. Zach seek God and maybe you will learn to treat Latinos with more respect . Cuz at this point I highly believe it’s because I’m a -------- woman. Ps if you love your kids DO NOT MOVE HERE . The school they are assigned to in this area is more than Horrifying.

    Resident 2011 - 2016

Change is always very hard to adjust to, I thought that Crawford -hoying at times didn't have a clue and towards the end they didn't care. When Brookview came in I'm sure thing's were not in order, so there was an adjustment period. I've been here for 5 years and could not be happier with the staff of brookview, the ladies in the office are always friendly and helpful with whatever questions I have. The maintenance and ground keepers always talk or wave answer questions. They just opened the new workout room and it's just perfect for the residents . Brookview and the staff was the main reason my wife and I signed another lease. The property has many ponds with the wildlife and walking paths which after a hard days work can be very helpful.

I just did my renewal and I kinda hesitated cause my neighbors said that the increases were super high . But I had no increase and the lady there was cool and She gave me a 25 Starbucks card . That was perfect cause I work the night shift so I needed it. So far they are cool with me.

I moved in here right before the new management company, Brookview AKA ----------, took over from Crawford Hoying. I was VERY disappointed & shocked when I found out. The office staff are so incompetent, rude, unprofessional, insensitive, & in my opinion absolute idiots (not very intelligent & they don't even try to act intelligent). And yes, I am a 1999 Ohio State graduate in business. The Manager, ------------, is an embarrassing representative of business ethics or managerial practices. She looks like a crackhead & I apologize if I offend any crackheads who care to read this. I DO NOT apologize to her for calling her one because its my opinion & I have freedom of speech. HERE IS MY ADVICE: DO NOT EVER...EVER, EVER...EVER, EVER, EVER LIVE HERE! LOOKS ARE DECEIVING! THE OFFICE STAFF HAVE STOLEN RENT CHECKS, MAINTENANCE MEN HAVE STOLEN MONEY FROM APTS WHEN THE RENTER WASN'T HOME, & THEY HAVE STOLEN PEOPLE'S PROPERTY OUTSIDE WHEN THEY CLAIMED TO BE POWERWASHING BUT THAT NEVER TOOK PLACE!!!!!!! NOT TO MENTION, OUR PERSONAL GRILLS! I HAVE WITNESSED SEVERAL DRUG DEALS & HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE BEHAVING WEIRD ON THE PROPERTY. FYI...WATCH THE PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER IN A BEATUP BLK CAR.… See More>

This new company (brookview) is awful. No one in the office has a clue as to what they are doing. The old company was wonderful (crawford). The speed bumps will kill your car, you literally have to come to a complete stop before going over them. My name is on the lease as the head of household and all of the rent checks are in my name, yet everytime the office contacts us they address it to my boyfriend. There has been furniture by the dumpster for weeks now and I know that people have contacted the office about it. Don't move here, you will regret it.

            Resident 2014

            4/20/2015

I lived at Citation Club for 3 months for an internship in the summer of 2014. It was my first apartment and was on the second floor. I really didn't have many problems since living there. I had to have maintenance come twice but I submitted the ticket online, they came when I was at work and took care of both of my issues. They put a screen in my window in the bed room (it was missing when I moved in). And, they fixed a breaker that tripped sometimes when I would use my microwave. I never actually interacted with any of my neighbors. But, they weren't loud so I didn't have any complaints. Although I did call the police once because when I got home from work, there was a man screaming and it sounded like he was hitting his wife so I had them check it out. Aside from that, not real complains. I think you could rent the washer and dryers for $25 a month. The units did have hookups. Water was fixed at $30 a month for me. The scenery was kept nice and they mowed and trimmed the hedges. I saw them also power wash all… See More>

I have lived at Citation Club a little over a year now, and just renewed my lease. I have lived in a few apartment complexes, but this feels like a community. I have a great apartment over looking a big pond back here, my neighbors are sweet, the office staff is always nice, and its a great price for the area. The few draw backs are the geese that always are around and poop everywhere, and sometimes dog owners dont pick up their dog poop. Other than that I havent had much problems. If i ever needed maintenince they were usually over same day, if not fixed next day. I love livin here!!

                8/4/2014

Truthfully, almost everything about this complex is fine. The rental office staff are always friendly, and they've been able to answer all of my questions. Every time I've put in a request with maintenance, they've fixed the problem correctly and promptly. The grounds are clean and well-kept. The apartments are, for the most part, lit well at night. The only real problem I've had is the utilities. First off, when they tell you that water is included in the rent, it's not your actual water bill. I have not been able to figure out what this extra fee is for, but it was a bit of shock to receive a bill for water when I was led to believe it was already covered. The electric is bought out by American Power and Lighting, and it's been a nightmare since I moved in. This company charges all kinds of fees and jacks up the price per kilowatt. Be warned: my bill for the first month I was here was over $230, and I'm averaging about $90 since then for a one bedroom apartment, even with all of the energy-saving tips I've employed. The customer service through this company is absolutely… See More>

Do you like mold? Do you like hearing a train go by every 45 minutes to very hour? Do you like spending every weekend trying to control mold around your apartment especially in the bathrooms when you cleaned the week before? Do you enjoy crappy maintence who claim they fixed stuff when in fact they did not? Do you love when the floor comes up? Do you love getting threatening notes on your door from the apartment staff saying they're going to charge you even if it's not you $25 per pile of cigarette butts and dog crap? Well this is the place for you. We've been here a year, and have all these issues and then some. The shower in the main bathroom has zero pressure and leaks, they won't fix it. Our windows all over the apartment leak air and move when it's windy. The shower in the main bedroom is only big enough for one person so enjoy showering alone. The maintence staff sucks, we've put in things to fix and nothing has been done but they said it was. Oh and my favorite, they come and do work on your apartment when you've never put in… See More>

This is probably one of the most deceiving places to live. It looks nice but WAY worse once you live here. The rent is over priced for the cheaply made apartments. When its cold, your windows leak cold air which in turn makes you heater run ALL the time which raises your electric bill like crazy, floor is always coming up, maintenance says they fix stuff when they don't, and when they do, its a poor shoty job. Doors to the closets are horrible, ALWAYS falling off the tracks and they don't fit in the space so its always scrapping up the walls. No matter how much you clean and bleach the bathrooms, there is ALWAYS mold every where, even under the windows. The noise is horrible, you can hear your neighbors having sex, screaming at each other, walking around, slamming doors and flushing toilets. You can hear every one walking around in the breezeway and screaming at each other and the office does nothing about it even when the police is called for noise complaints. The office does nothing about trash around the halls either when they say they don't put up with it, that's a lie. They do… See More>

so far so good. I moved in a couple months ago and the place was pretty clean but there was a odor, not a bad one just the type of odor that can happen if a place has not been aired out in a few weeks ( which happened to be in my case) anyways i am a cleaner so the first day i had the apartment i got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the carpet down just to have that fresh shampoo smell and i was very impressed because I hardly picked up any dirt! some other positives -nice lake view -very spacious bedrooms -nice bathrooms -decent closet size (two closest in master br) -feel very safe (compared to my old neighborhood ) -professional staff -they have trash and recycleable pick up at your own front door on T-TH-SUN -parking is ok i can always find a spot close now negatives -WAY TO MUCH POOP the dog owners here dont always pick up their animal feces and if they dont do it ..no one does..its very annoying for us non animal owners just trying to walk from our car to our apartment. not sure if this problem is fixable because I have yet to complain so… See More>

We moved here a couple of months ago and have been very happy. Our apartment is nice and quiet we do not hear our neighbors at all. Everyone that we have come in contact with has been very friendly. Our rooms are very spacious. We are senior citizens and recently downsized from a house. We love it here and feel very safe.

The place isn't horrible by any means. The rent is okay. The 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments are pretty roomy. The only thing that drives me crazy is the noise! It is almost always noisy here. Because the walls are thin I can hear my neighbor opening their cabinets, whenever they use the plumbing in their bathrooms, etc... Outside I can hear anytime someone is having a conversation if they're near my apartment. Or if they're just loud. The apartment is right next to a railroad which is something I didn't notice until after we moved in. The trains are VERY loud if you live near the railroad (obviously) and they honk the horn on the trains because of the railroad crossing nearby. I came from the country and boy do I miss my privacy! I feel like anytime I have a conversation, everyone can hear me - which is true if you want to sit on your balcony around 5 other apartments. Parking also can be sucky. It's not awful and you're not going to not find SOMEWHERE to park. But they don't enforce their parking rules. There was a broken down truck parked in my guest parking for… See More>

I have lived in Citation Club two different times over the past 5 years. I moved the first time due to a job relocation. The community is in a great location for the price. The office and maintenance staff are always helpful. If I had one complaint it is that sometimes parking can be limited but I don't if any community where this isn't an issue. I would recommend Citation Club to anyone looking to live in this area. You really can't be beat it!

Trinity Marsh, the name of the street, the place is built on a marsh/wetland and with that comes lots of mold. I lived there for 2 years and the mildew/mold? comes back even after they bleached it and most tenants could say that the electric bills were outrageous(american power & lighting),so bottom floor apts have mold and top floor u have to handle high elect. costs, other than that it's an ok place in a decent area. (but really don't live at citation club, u will drown in electric bill costs)

I lived in Citation Club apartments (for about 1.5 years in 2008 and 2009). Living there - I can say it as One of the best community I have ever lived in. Very nice place (quickly reachable to all stores, theaters and all highways, downtown and so onnn.....). It is a location and combination of many friendly people from different places of the world. Mostly nice people (off course there is an exception, some people don't care about cleaning after their pets, community people should take certain measures to avoid this situations.). I never had any problem with management people, they are very friendly, cooperative (esp. Ronnie Davidson and all other management people are really friendly) and listen to our problems and make a quick steps to take care of our problems related to utilities and all other things. If you think of your apartment, there is no doubt in that, simply awesome to stay for the amount you are spending there. I can say that I am really missing that friendly place, esp. citation club and lake and surroundings. Security wise - We never had any parking problems. No one touch your parked car. I have lived at Citation Club apartments for 2 years. At first it was nice. I used to be able to walk through the grass without looking down and stepping in a pile of feces. Now you always have to look down or walk on the street. There are cigarette butts everywhere. When I went down to complain about it they wanted the names of who was doing it, like I know all of the names of everyone. Besides, I didn t see anyone cleaning up after their dog so fine everyone with a dog. The over population of geese is just ridiculous also. There is geese feces all over the place. When you find a parking space, the office may have decided that, that wasn t a parking space that week and you may wake up to no car to get to work. At first I was getting a water bill from the water company, then all of sudden I didn t get a bill. The complex decided to take it over, but didn t notify us. The management staff is always courteous and helpful, however I spoke to a police officer out patroling and she told me there is a huge drug trafficking problem within the complex and to be cautious when walking my dog as there are needles left all over. I have seen people move out in the middle of the night, there are broke down cars left in the parking lot, even though they say they tow I have only seen it done once, people have guests park wherever they want, so its hard to find a space. My upstairs neighbor opens the door and lets his dog out and people never ever clean up after their pets!!! I have a dog and bought a leash that holds waste bags and has a flashlight so I can see at night to pick it up, people leave junk all over and trash all over the grounds!!! I recently switched jobs and needed to move to Hilliard, this place is the cheapest for the space you get, I've been here for 3 months now and have yet to find a parking space within 3 buildings of my apartment, there are many apartments with 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment, I have witnessed these people exiting and entering on a near daily basis so I highly doubt them as visitors. People do not pick up after their dogs, and if you have a dog they automatically place the blame on whomevers apartment is closest, the office staff is very evasive of any concerns or problems you have, they simply tell you they will look into it, with the weather being poor they never salt the roads inside the complex so you slide all over the road going in or out. The maintenace is horrible, if you have a problem that is on the "emergency list" it's still probably a week or more before you even get a call. The truth

I lived at Citation Club for two years and recently moved out because of the fact I just moved out of Columbus. Parking - kinda sucks, but 90% of the time you can find a place park close to your Apt. Recently before I moved out they started towing cars without parking permits in resident spots because a lot of people were getting upset at the fact that they couldn't get a spot right in front of their building. Noise - The noise level is good, my main problem was my neighbor underneeth liked to play loud music at 1 am with the base up as high as it goes, it wasn't the noise of the music that bothered me, but the base rumbling the Apts., but everytime I went and asked him to turn it down and he did, but outside of that there is no noise level. Grounds - the Grounds can get kind of bad. People just don't respect where they live and will throw beer bottles on the ground or in the pond, just uncool. They have a guy who walks around and picks things up, but that guy is an A-hole and doesn't pick up most… See More>

WOW WHERE DO WE BEGIN. LETS START FROM THE BEGINNING, WE MOVED HERE OVER THREE YEARS AGO AND THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY (MARK MEYERS & CRAWFORD HOYING SMITH) ARE A BUNCH OF MONEY THIRSTY CARELESS PEOPLE. WE WERE TOLD THAT AS PART OF THE CONVERSION THEY WOULD REMODEL THE CLUBHOUSE WITH NEW CABINETS & GRANITE COUNTERTOPS, STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES, NEW PAINT, CARPET AND FURNITURE. STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE SHUTTERS ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING WERE GOING TO BE REPALCED. WHAT ONES ARE LEFT ARE MIS MATCHED AND HAVE NOT BEEN TOUCHED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE AREA OUTSIDE THE POOL FENCE THAT IS SLIDING INTO THE LAKE WAS GOING TO BE FIXED AND THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF RECEIVNG ESTIMATES, STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED AND IS GETTING WORSE. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THAT THE CURBS WOULD BE LEVELED WITH THE GUTTER DRAINS ROUTED TO THE STREET, AS YOU CAN SEE , THIS IS STILL AN UNFINISHED PROJECT THAT HAS GONE ON FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW. Terrible Property in every way!

DO NOT LEASE AN APARTMENT AT CITATION CLUB, NOBLE CLUB, OR ANY OF CRAWFORD COMMUNITIES PROPERTIES! They have the worst management especially Patricia managing Noble Club and Citation Club Apts. She's so stupid, arrogant and you can't have a conversation with her at all! She has had my car towed from a resident parking spot! even though I've lived at the complex for over a year, and my car is registered with the rental office. I tried to talk to her about it, but all she could say was that this was not her problem! I asked her for a prorated amount for a partial month since I've lived here month to month since my lease expired, instead of giving mean amount as requested, she sent me an eviction notice! as though I have refused to pay rent. As are all of these property management, she's a major a-hole!

I do not live at the Citation Club, but I do live in the complex right next store called Parkview at Hartford. They are all owned by the same major company, and I can tell you that they aren't good. The outside at first glance is beautiful. However, once you move in is another story. Stuff is JUNK! The cabinets are falling off and are crooked, our bedroom door doesn't shut. The neighbors are horrible and management does nothing about noise complaints. Also, you can never reach management and they never return your calls. Our A/C and Heat never worked properly. Called maintance several times, never got anything done about it. I have a 11 month old son, I need quiet neighbors and working a/c/heat. I'm so glad our lease is almost over.

                                                  Getting Really Bad Here

I've lived here for almost a year now. There are multiple families living in apartments and they are taking all of the available parking spots. There are cable wires running from one apartment to another. Beer bottles all over the grounds and trash everywhere. The price is a descent price but the neighborhood is terrible. They let anyone in just to fill up spots and don't care too much about what goes on as long as they are getting their rent. The staff is rude and not very willing to hear your issues. My car has been broken into 3 times now. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone who cares about their surroundings or having nice things.
