This was the biggest mistake my fiancé and I ever made. We were 18 when we moved in and it was our first apartment. We were just happy to have our own place and for how cheap it was. The next six months we stayed there was a total nightmare. First off it took an awfully long time to be able to move into our complex. We waited about 3 months while they 'cleaned' it out for us. When we started unpacked I noticed some bugs along the wall from the old carpet. I didn't recognize them so I just picked the up and flushed then down the toilet like any other bug. The very first night the handle from the refrigerator broke off and it didn't seem very stable to begin with. None of the screws were secure in the floors so the metal divider between carpet and tile came off constantly. We had numerous plumbing issues, one being so bad it flooded our bathroom and into our bedroom and living room. Called maintenance and all they said was "You should probably do something about that". ITS YOUR JOB TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. We've had countless problems with our showers and the water pressure. Had to have it replaced 3 times and it still not work. After about three weeks we've noticed a large amount of roaches popping up in our unit and it seemed almost impossible to get rid of them. Our unit always smelled like pot from the neighbor below us. Walls are paper thin so we got to listen to the neighbors behind us getting drunk and being loud EVERY other day. They do not enforce the whole 'clean up after your pet' rule because every time I stepped outside it reeked of dog ----. For some reason we had to pay more and more for rent each month and when questioning the office about the extra charges they simply say, "it's in your lease". We signed for a year but left halfway through because the neighborhood was unsafe and not very trustworthy (one of our neighbors proceeded to smoke crack on their front porch like it was no big deal), you pay too much for a place that's not worth what they charge, and because it just wasn't a great pace to live. Fast forward to the day we move out. I'm removing our bed sheets and lift up our brand new (seriously, bought this straight from the mattress store AFTER we moved in) to find the bugs that I mentioned before. One connection led to another and that's how we got, you guessed it, BED BUGS from this place. It seems awfully peculiar it took an ungodly amount of time to move in. We had to leave everything in our bedroom, including new bed comforters, clothes & our couch, behind in fear of bringing them with us. So long story short, if you do not want to experience any of this DO NOT MOVE HERE. Do NOT let their low prices fool you, they're this low for a reason.
