I have lived here for several years. It's a good value overall, and I definitely recommend it because the pros largely outweigh the cons.
Pros: The management stays on top of things (e.g. well-maintained facility and prompt snow shoveling and salting walkways). The walls are thick, so I almost never hear neighbors (and nobody's complained about my music or movies even late at night with my windows open). Nice location too, very close to the metroparks and the mall, with nice views of the park available. Heated garage is available for a modest extra fee. Heat is included, and good windows keep the heat in so it's warm in the winter. The pool is nice too.
Cons: no central air, so instead have small A/C unit in living room that's too weak to cool the bedroom in the summer. Bathroom fixtures and kitchen cabinets are fairly old (but in good working order)
I'll emphasize that that this is a quiet community of seniors and working people with very few young children. Management is selective and will not tolerate partiers or troublemakers.
