Pricey but worth the extra bucks!!
I just finished my first 60 days in Heron Springs. I have one complaint; something is wrong in the water pipes and they make loud banging noises every morning when people are preparing themselves to go to work. In all fairness know that I have not had a chance to discuss this with the management but I will.

On to the good news:
1. Single-female friendly and safe
2. Monthly social activities that include free food and a chance ot get to know your neighbors
3. Office staff, espcially Helen is exemplary.
4. On-Site car wash
5. Located on the Akron-side of Kent State
and is close to everything; Applebees, Wal-Mart, a farmer's market, freeway Route 8.
6. Wireless Internet works well.
7. Plenty of parking
8. I am on the third floor there are about 17 steps per floor. WHEW!!! Each day these steps get easier to climb.
9. Noise level is low; I have heard my neighbors maybe twice in 60 days.
10. Mail is in a centralized location
11. Trash compactor is in a centralized location
12. Well maintained grounds with tennis court, basketball courts, barbeque grills, outdoor pool and jacuzzi.
13. Business center complete with computer, fax machine, copying machine and telephone for your use for free.
14. Video/DVD/Book library free for your use
15. Fitness Center with television
16. Party Room with Big Screen (50 inches?) television and fireplace.

I am not an employee or relative of an employee from Heron Springs. I am telling you this place is great. I looked for several months before arriving in the area to try to find a place. If you are a KSU student and you can get a roommate this place is a better value than trying to find a $400 a month apartment near Kent. If a KSU student, you will need a car to stay here. It's about a 20 minute, hassle-free drive from campus.Share This Review
