I've lived here for almost 8 years and have had on and off bad experiences when Union Station was owned by The Connor Group. Since Towne Properties has taken over, I have noticed a significant improvement. The new property manager Lydia seems to really take concerns and complaints more seriously and literally than past managers. My only complaints are how often "unit inspections" are happening and they have a staff member named Barry who seems totally clueless/unwilling to help. I've had notices placed on my door that state "if you have any questions, please call our leasing office" however when I have contacted them I have managed to speak to Barry every time, and he leaves me completely dumbfounded when I end our conversation. He seems disinterested and it is concerning that you would offer the option to contact them for questions however he is unprepared to answer. I also have an older unit that wasn't even updated like we were promised when we first moved in in 2008 and I would love to update the unit as I've seen the upgrades that have been made and they are beautiful but I'm not willing to pay extra in my rent. However I understand that previous promises made by The Connor Group don't really fall onto Towne Properties. When we renewed our lease, Towne did uphold original lease agreements and actually fixed deposit payments that were left off previous lease renewals (meaning connor group could have tried to come after us because their records weren't reflecting original deposits) so I was blown away that the office caught this mistake and corrected it promptly. Overall, the under new management Union Station is a nice place to live in West Chester as you are pretty much getting what you pay for.
Union Station Luxury Apartments Manager
Thank you for the nice review! I'm glad you've been so happy with the direction Towne has taken Union Station. I'm sorry you've had some issues with one of our staff members. I'll be sure to speak with him and make sure he is up to speed on everything happening in the community. The unit inspections we currently do are for pests (this inspection will happen quarterly), and for resident's whose leases are up soon. This is so we can look into upgrading the apartments. We are giving residents the option to upgrade their homes when their current lease is coming to a close. This would affect the cost of the apartment, but without knowing who wrote this review, I can't say how much. Please stop in or contact the office at (513) 779-6699 and I'll be happy to discuss it with you. Thank you again for the nice review. I'm very happy to see that you're pleased with the work we're doing here!
