Villas at Stonebridge

look no further. We have lived at the Villas at Stonebridge for almost a year. Here are the positives and negatives: (keep in mind that my husband and i are relocated quite frequently for work and are extremely picky apartment critics)Positives:Large living space, good size kitchens, especially if u do a lot of cooking, great size bedrooms and bathrooms, laundry in your home, as well as dishwasher, friendly office staff, i am not sure what others were talking about when they commented negatively about office, nice size windows, so you don't feel clausterphobic, grounds are very well maintained, and the "maintainence guy" is really nice, office will work with you to make you comfortable and happy, nice place to raise a family, quiet during the day, you can't hear your neighbors sharing the same wall as you as the apartments are designed pretty well, unless you are in the bathroom, which, for some reason, you can hear them somewhat more clearly, but please see notes on negatives below. Living in edmond, oklahoma is second-to-none, excellent community and very convenient location to almost all malls, etc. Itake walks during the day and feel safe.
NEGATIVES, only negative complaint is the way that the apartments are designed, the master bedroom shares the same outside wall as the stairs leading into your neighbors' apartments. If you have neighbors who are not courteous, such as our luck, it is terrible during the night as you are trying to sleep. We have some neighbors however, who try their best to keep their footsteps quiet during the night, and if you are so lucky, then i would say these apartments are worth every penny. apartments are apartments, as you will get the noise, but these stairs are really noisy. the office definitely needs to do something about the stair noise (for those disrespectful neighbors that is),other negatives which were not so bad...on a very windy day, you can smell the dog-food factory on Broadway extension., I guess the only way to get around this is if you lived west of broadway extension, but then you loose the greatest neighborhoods, finally, the train is kind of loud, but i think that is the case anywhere you live in edmond, as it runs day and night, rain or shine. at any rate, outweigh your pluses and minuses. I can't make an absolute recommendation, but i must say, for living in apartments almost always since i have been out of college, this is a nice place. plus, it is safe at night. although i have this stair noise complaint, i would say that the noise level on a grand scale is very quiet. plus, we lived on the upper 2nd level, with no one above us, you pay a little more for this unit, but it IS worth it! you dont have to go up three flights of stairs, you have vaulted ceiling, and no one is walking above your head. hope i helped. good luck
