Don't do it
I am a former resident of Meadowood Village. I lived in an upstairs three-bedroom apartment, which I moved into from a two-bedroom in the same building. Once I moved in I noticed a lot of things. First, the carpet was shot, almost literally in tatters. Secondly, the place was so poorly insulated and the A/C so small that I was paying $200 per month to keep my apartment at 90 degrees during the day. A bag of candy literally melted on my dining room table. Management kept trying insigificant measures, then finally agreed to install a larger A/C. Then the manager left, and of course this agreement was totally forgotten. My neighbors across the hall were nothing short of criminals. I worked swing shift, and often when I came home from work they were sitting on the living room couch smoking pot with the front door wide open. I had to discontinue delivery of the newspaper because they kept stealing it (I know this because my delivery person caught them). One night they knocked out my cable by trying to tap into it without knowing what they were doing. After the manager evicted them for this transgression, they vandalized my car and the car of the elderly lady who lived downstairs by keying the paint on the hood, trunk and doors. When I left, I took the key to the office and I offered to do a walk through with the manager. She said "I'm sure everything is fine", and took the key. A month later, after I had already relocated to another city, they tried to bill me for recarpeting the apartment, claiming that my dog ruined the (threadbare when I moved in) carpet. When I threatened them with legal action over the carpet and their failure to maintain even adequate climate control, they backed off.Share This Review
